Indeed. Arsenic just feels like a dagger (poisoned sword? no. poisoned dagger? yes.) but I had a bit of a debate with Discord. It looks like it could be a dagger. Plus I couldn't find anything that directly referred to Discord as a sword, either in-game, on the forums, or in the wiki. At any rate, the deciding factor for me was elemental synergy: Darkness + Darkness/Death/Entropy. It suits no? Plus the Endow stats came out looking rather aesthetic if you ask me.

i had always seen arsenic as a sort of double pokey hand thingymabob, not really a dagger or a sword, and discord looks like a big sword to me....

Discord is definitely a sword. The only daggeres in the game, imo, are arsenic and dagger (of course).
