Oh. Nice. It's like a three turn lobotomy. I like the idea as it can quickly stop those growing golems and forest spirits. On the other hand, it'll probably increase my hatred for mono aether.

I'm not sure how I feel about this negating one major fault of phase shield (momentum) and being in the same element.  It is a nice idea, however.

And yeah, the name doesn't seem to fit.

rift is a gap, split, divide, etc- basically between the players and the creatures.
Momentum is skill (Charger's) and Mind Flayer can lobotomise it even if it isn't creature's original skill.

depends on the passive, pest for example acts on the play'ers quanta pool, which i was thinking should be unreachable with rift in play.

edit- yeah, that doesnt make sense either as they can still attack.  so just removing active abilities.
