Seems a bit similar to oty with the sacrifice one creature to gain +1|+1.
Sure, the mechanic is similar, but not as much as Omnivore-Otyugh. Plus, their roles in both the actual game and the meta-game are different.
Do you personally think this similarity warrants a change?

I think the ability works well when you factor in the fact that Pride won't attack should you have more creatures. It makes for a tricky balancing game, figuring out how many Prides to use so that you maximize attack potential, while steering clear of Pride's not attacking condition.

No. Sacrifice and Destroy are two completely different effects. One is the cost the other is the prime effect. (See Immolation vs Lightning)
