I quite like the card, and feel it is balanced. However, I disagree with poison getting an extra counter. Poison is not considered to be a source of direct damage - see interaction with reflective shields. Thusly, it shouldn't gain from a card that gives benefits to direct damage.

not necessarily saying it is "OP" atm, feel free to playtest all you want to figure it out.  i am saying mono fire's cc methods are very much in the "already top of the line" category and do not need further boosting, especially in a situation where it is not limited to boosting either just spells, just permanents, just critters, or just for x turns.  helping mono fire do something it already does better than almost any other element seems like a waste of effort to me.  i mean, fire was just given a 'this card is neat but wont change anything' card for this very reason.  nap has good ideas, he's just focusing in an area that doesnt need it, at all, in any way, shape, or form.
This card does not improve the CC of Fire. It gives a different mode of CC (fewer more potent CC). Likewise it does not improve Fire's offense. It gives a different mode of offense (mass buff fewer creatures). You have supported adding variety and supported the maintenance of each element's identity. Eliminating these possible sources for criticism I must conclude that your critiquing the timing. You are suggesting that this card should not be added prior to other elements getting more variety in their specialties. This criticism I can understand and agree with. However that is best discussed at the forge level.

Poison does not get an extra counter. It merely does X+1 damage where X=number of counters. Overheat does not mention direct damage and in fact includes all forms of damage. It is only logical to have it apply to infection.

A fire theme that is generalized across the game is nice.  Fire could use this tool that indirectly involves creature count (like Bonds), ideally then it is strong with spawning and duplicating elements.

This is gonna make fractal decks NASTY... Not that this is entirely a bad thing IMHO.
Ball Lightning will SHRED the living daylights out of people with this (5 * 7 = 35 per fractal now, each of these bumps it by another 7 giving up to 35+42=77 damage for 1 fractaled ball lightening... YIKES!)
Whether the glass is half full or half empty is a moot point. It is always filled to the brim. It is only a matter of by what. The real question is: What fills you?

Just a note,
From a purely mathematical point of view this card will have the greatest effect for creatures and damage sources that do low damage. E.g. the lower the damage done, the bigger bump it will get. E.g. 1 pt sources are doubled, 2 pt sources increase 50%, 4 pt gain +25% etc. So this will do relatively little for heavy hitters (dragons, etc.) and will make small cards much nastier (deja-vu, fractal photons, etc).

Lastly, just to clarify, will the extra damage be added before or after shield effects.
I.e. if enemy has the shield card out (absorbs 1 damage) and i attack with a photon, will the photon get +1 and go through or will it get blocked entirely and thus do no damage at all?
On a similar note, Will the damage added be added before or after calculating number of attacks with adrenaline. E.g. does my frog still get 4 attacks or is it dropped to 3 attacks?
Whether the glass is half full or half empty is a moot point. It is always filled to the brim. It is only a matter of by what. The real question is: What fills you?

Hadn't thought that far ahead. I'd assume it would function similar to Hammer or the other weapon abilities though.

Any chance rage potion would give and take an extra point of damage/health?

From what I can tell:
1) Rage potion actually deals damage (doesnt subtract from max hp) thus it should probably count as a damage source. ( I say this because you can still heal a creature back to full after using rage potion using holy light or gaurdian angel)
 -> Therefore rage potion would now deal 6 | 7 damage instead of 5 | 6
2) It would probably still only give +5 | +6 damage... Unless the creature had 0 attack to start in which case it would give +6|+7
(because the additional +1 would have already been applied before rage potion was used)

Thats how I'm seeing it at least, based on the wording on the card and the current rage potion mechanics
