Fun card, although I'd say instead of having the swap elements in a set pattern you should make the element it swaps to random, being :entropy and all.  Plus it makes it more viable for some of the elements at the end of that list (I doubt many :gravity decks would ever consider it having to wait 11 turns for :gravity to show up).

Just as TStar said it doesn't seem like it will be useful beyond the first 3 or so. How about after the ability is used then it switches to making quanta of your mark?

It can be used multiple times per turn, like rustler, so it would cost 11 entropy, but it would garner 2 gravity per turn,

Why don't you give nova worm the same ability, but with a cost of 2 for activation
i agree is there some sort of petition that can be signed to make people realize that unnupped cards should receive love unlike upped cards who receive too much love.

but then what purpose would it have... This idea could work if there were no repeats (until you have gone through all 12 elements).
Assuming with repeats, what kind of purpose would this have? In a rainbow, I would just use nova worm

Salut à tous! I'm glad to see that this card just needed a small curator-bump for the discussion to start again.

Two points:
  • Some love to the Nova Worm (versus Supernova): If you just look at the quanta production, you might realise that the NW produces 2 quanta per turn. It is twice as much as the SW. The SW exchanges a bit of efficiency for quality. However, both production type are good. In some cases, you might even use NW in an upped deck. Sometimes you'd rather produce more than choose what you produce. In some decks however, being able to produce a specific quanta is a win condition.
  • Random Swap: The only interest of the upped version is to be able to produce the most fitting quanta when you desire it (this has a variable cost depending on where you are on the quanta wheel). If you the swap ability was random, you could not be sure of its effect, spending quanta you want to be able produce quanta you don't want is not a very useful ability IMO. Randomness fits entropy but too much of it is just too much ...

I like the worm a lot, but I think the unupped version is boring.

Here's how I would fix it:

Make both unupped and upped version of the card do one "Swap Element", but only the upped version lets you do it again and again. So the descriptions would like something like this:


Unupped:
Generates a quantum of its current element and randomly swaps to a different element.

Upped:
Generates a quantum of its current element and randomly swaps to a different element.
:entropy Swap Element



The difference between the two is that with unupped, you are at the mercy of the randomizer. With upped, you can keep clicking that "Swap Element" until you get what you need.

I still think the whole "Entropy is randomness, make all their cards do random effects!" is not really very nice. I think that, with SG's suggestion, the ability should still use the quanta wheel, to give at least a little of control on what element you get. Not necessarily the passive(perpetual) needs to, but aqt least the active should.

I like your Idea but i cannot change it during the voting process. I suppose it will have to stay like that and be changed if it goes to the game.
