I'm beginning to think that this shard might be better received as a permanent.

There seems to be some general resistance to the idea of shards as creatures, which may be holding people back from voting for this idea even if they like the mechanic. For the last couple votes it's done decently in the poll, but not well enough to be a true contender. This leads me to believe that it's going to need some form of edit to move on, and that's the only thing I can think of that people might not like.

O RLY?! What is this (http://fighunter.wikia.com/wiki/Master_Stone), then? I'm pretty sure some other games have floating shards/crystals/gemstones as enemies.

well i would like to know how a shard can fight, unless some "magic h4x wizard" enchanted it to have a pulse i doubt it would move (im having fun already being on your hitlist)

This one doesn't fight, since it protects your permanents. But for the Shard of Vengeance, YOU, the player/Elemental, are the "magic h4x wizard" that enchanted the shard and allowed it to attack. How can it attack? IT SHOOTZ LAZOR AND STUFFZ.

Does this card interfere with Flying Weapon? I know that the targeting reticule doesn't appear when you play FW, but it already has a designated target, so...

I don't think it does, since you can animate Morning Star or an enchanted weapon.
