I think this might be a little overpowered. I could see someone using Rage Potions and Shards of Wisdom to create a monstrous creature with spell damage on the first turn. Or, even worse, someone could use a single rage potion on one of these and then Parallel Universe it indefinitely.
I think it would be a better idea if this generated random quantum.
To get that first turn combo you need at least 1 Arc Engine, 1 Rage Potion, and 1 SoW - that's already 3 cards in your hand.
Rage Potion costs 3
and Arc Engine costs 2
, so the rest of your opening hand and your first draw has to be 3 Fire Pillars + 2 Gravity Pillars. The result is that you empty
your entire hand + your first draw and pay 7-8
from three different elements to get an 9 | 9 / 10 | 12 creature. For all that effort I'd rather play a more stable Novabow with several creatures or an ImmoPhoenix rush, since I wouldn't risk dead draws or quanta screw issues. (6 Engine + 12 Buff Cards takes up more than half a 30 card deck, so it sounds like you will draw buffs more often than engines. The deck also probably has no way to respond to fast rushes or a CC-intensive stall unless you bloat the deck up to ~40 cards for more cards and pillars to balance those extra cards. Keep in mind rainbow/immo decks usually manage to pack CC and PC options into a 30-card deck.)
'Infinite Parallel Universe' doesn't work either since you're still limited to having 6 copies of the card in your deck.
By itself, Arc Engine + Rage Potion + PU is worse than Voodoo Doll + Rage Potion + PU, because damage gets you closer to winning the game than quantum does. Sure, you can build up quanta, but it has no immediate effect on the board until you play an additional card. That means the Arc Engine player will either have a bunch of excess
quanta sitting around - since Rage Potion doesn't provide enough damage for 1 full Parallel Universe, that slows down the combo even more (Consider how Immolation can't fuel 1 unupped Phoenix by itself).
On the other hand, Voodoo Doll + Rage Potion inflicts an extra immediate damage when used, meaning you don't have to wait for Parallel Universe to already be ahead of your opponent. Voodoo Doll's 'copy' trigger is also much more useful for OTK's (in case your opponent has a lot of CC), whereas Arc Engine would need to deal a few more turns of damage for not having done 'voodoo' damage. A similar case is Voodoo Doll + Gravity Pull + PU vs. Arc Engine + Gravity Pull + PU - you
must commit an extra card to the Engine to deal damage, whereas Voodoo Doll + Gravity Pull doesn't even need PU to be dangerous and will survive more often since Doll has higher HP.
Overall : I think this card is slightly below Voodoo Doll in terms of power since Doll is more practical and wins games faster. However this card's design allows to be a better combo piece in the right decks since you can chose to the use the quanta for any effect you want (as opposed to straight-up damage).
