would still rather fractal a minor phoenix if base damage is desired, trios involved with fractal are a bit tough to manage- but i may reduce the damage on the base card to 1|1 if that would help with the focus of its use

Yeah, that would stop it from being a good fractal target n a duo. With a trio though(or preferably a rainbow, actually), it would still be a very fun target to fractal :)

I think it fits the elements it's in nicely, and a 2/2 for 1 isn't off for costing (see elite deja vu, micro abomination, phrysalia) .  Does the upped one have no chance of dying?
