One: Unburrow devourers and pests.
Two: Upgraded could just unburrow all creatures.
Three: Unburrowing any creature on your opponent's field that you actually want to cc.

Hardly useless. Especially if the upgraded unburrows all creatures and your opponent has 4 burrowed devourers when you have a spell that could kill them all if they just weren't underground.

Anyway, not the card this topic is for. Moving on. ^_^;
(Edited) Not my fault grindpower kept arguing with me so they could be right.

However, it would only work for a few creatures. A counter for only a few creatures you might not even face for ages is barely worth it.

Burrowing is enough CC imo.

Might not face for ages? I see devourers multiple times a day. Seriously. And then there's graboids I see once every day or two, and it'd sure be nice to kill those before they go shrieker.

Most decks don't have the earth quanta to burrow their devourers. Besides, Cave In would be better for killing them, go to that thread or make a new thread suggest YOUR dig idea.

It doesn't make much sense for "dig" to be able to burrow airborne creatures, and even if it did they would be able to fly back out again...

They would probably suffocate underground making them unable to fly back out.

See that's when Bury seems more appropriate. Also, the weight of the dirt on the wings or whatever would be heavy cause it'd be a lot of dirt and flying creatures aren't good at digging (not for any particular reason, that's just how it is), so they'd be stuck.

Maybe lower the cost to 2 or 3 :earth because the attack is halved.

Dang. That would make it one of the best counters to Voodoo Doll hands down. :P Well, I suppose Rewind/Quintessence on a Doll are good enough then.

A nice card to go with CC cards in Earth, also a cool alternative quint. This would be a good simple addition to the earth cards and would open up new strategies. since the attack of the creature is halved, dig could be used to avoid being harmed or blocked by shields or other nuisances while still having that ability to cast. Take firefly queen for example, if dig was used on it, then the stats would become 1|7, so it would avoid permafrost shield and thorn carapace. It would still be able to use it's skill while being blocked by certain shields. Otyugh would probably be one of the best candidates for this later in the game, combined with heavy armor, this could strengthen the Earth/Gravity duo a lot if used correctly. Although this card casting cost has to depend on how you would use it, if you used it on your opponent it still could vary, like if you used it on a medium attacking creature it would be very effective, however for the card to reach its full potential against the opponent I would say it should be used on a dragon :P. Maybe for this to balance out it should have the creature to only be burrowed for around 3-4 turns. If the dig was permanent, then I would say increase the cost to 5 unupped and 4 upped.
lava golems are the best creatures in the game cause I said so
