ART:
From http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,34339.0.html , all free art. It's placeholder art until something better is proposed.
IDEA:
Rutarete, Zblader, and Anarook
NOTES:
Damage = B (base damage) + C (cost of permanent being thrown)
B = 6.

My original idea was to have it similar to mutation, percentage/chance-wise. A 10% chance to miss completely (wasting a permanent), some chance to land on the opponent's field, either to potentially be used against you or perhaps damage (delay) their permanents, and the rest of the % would be to hit for plain damage. During discussion/designing though, it was simplified to the above formula.

...

And now, presenting a deck utilizing Giant (courtesy of Zblader). The relics represent Giant. Tomorrow a Shield Rush shall be added.

BB and GP are CC. Shields are for damage (blocking in combo with BB), and pillars are for damage.

So, basically reverse Catapult?

More of a Permanent Catapult rather than "reverse."

Nice... kind of reminds me of the Atog from MtG... Fun artwork too... One question, if this is used with bonewall will it do 13 damage or 6? I.e. since bonewall is a stack of multiple individual shields will you apply the total cost (7) for each individual or will each essentially be treated as a 0 cost card ... or somewhere in between?
This would also be fun in conjunction with the recently proposed Junk Wall card as well.
I see a very fun Otyugh bonewall combo here :D

reverse catapult as in instead of a permanent shooting creatures, its a creature shooting permanents.  /shrug.

It will throw the whole shield. So an upped bonewall would do 11, unupped 13.

Any other comments before crucible submission?

If you throw a weapon or shield and your opponent already has a permanent in that spot, what happens if the RNG decides it gets that chance to "land."

That would be a different card.

That makes sense then... Although it just seems a little off to have an upgraded card do less damage than the unupgraded version... Maybe bump damage slightly (one or 2 points) when upgraded permanents are thrown?
Otherwise I definitely like this one.

One last question: What happens for other stacked objects (pillars, shards, etc). Does the whole stack get thrown or just one?

If what you're quoting is of any merit, it throws the entire stack, but it gets treated as one permanent.

looks like a fun card.

Throw your pillars toward the end of the game when you no longer need em.

Someone noticed :) I don't think the damage needs to go up for upped permanents. This already has enough of an upgrading bonus. Maybe bump damage slightly (one or 2 points) when upgraded permanents are thrown?
Otherwise I definitely like this one.

Whole stacks are thrown.

Interesting... In that case, it will encourage players to hold back on playing pillars so that they may be hurled one at a time...
I could just see a grav bow now that uses pendulums of every color in addition to quantum pillars so that it can play and hurl them with wild abandon and not have to worry about them stacking... 6 damage for 2  :gravity and a free pendulum isn't too bad I guess... or maybe 2  :gravity and 1  :time if you use an hourglass to speed up the hurling process.
Not sure if I'm entirely enthusiastic about that (since i would think a big stack should do a little extra damage compared to a small one) but it will be amusing to watch at least.

*... Sir We only have 3 hitpoints left and these stupid giants... wait I know... THROW EVERYTHING WE GOT AT EM... and I do mean EVERYTHING*

Brilliant.  And when almost all hope is lost, throw a Catapult!

On a side note, the new abbreviation system is getting out of hand...

lol. Here's a possible fortune: Today's going to be a big day.
If you're not quite at your goal, use all the sources you have!

@Drake you can disable it on  the look and layout profile section i believe.

The question is, who lobbed first? The catapult or the giant?

Depends, how much damage was done?

I'd really like this idea to go to the forge. Please support it in the crucible. Last round did so well!

Any more feedback? The topic's been dead for a while.

Well, I also believe that instead of reducing the cost of throw, you should increase Base damage for upped as most upps cost less.

I like this card but just to clarify it passes through shield like catapult right?

I think it's a nice perk to have it work better for unupped cards.

Yes.
