Acceleration is an ability, so it's not odd that it happens at a different time than poison.
I think I find Poison effects happens before shield effects. I observed a 7 HP Water Nymph who took an Aflatoxin from an
allied Death Nymph gets past Grav Shield (I know it since my favorite PC-less Bronze farmer is a(n 80% upped) Death/Water NT deck).
