TBH, this probably is more awesome conceptually than actually but, IMO atleast, it is a simple and obvious card idea that somehow everyone else has overlooked. It does not serve an amazing purpose but the sheer elegance of the design should be enough to warrant a place for it. The purpose is for the players to determine.

So far, though, this card does suffer from the old "Purify syndrome," save for the Mindgate tactic, which IMO is less effective than advertised, since you're already drawing the pillars/immolations/etc. your opponent does.  This card seems inherently geared toward the metagame - which could change, if some new things are implemented, but I just don't see much use for it in the status quo.  I hate to give purely negative feedback without a suggestion of how to solve things, but my brain is fried from the Meta tournament and good old-fashioned fatigue...

Sorry, Z.  I usually have such nice things to say about your cards...
It can be used in a few niche decks. It also creates opportunities for card creators to build on it, making cards that rely on your opponent's quanta. It might give rise to new deck builds that haven't been thought of before too.
Also, the upgraded one is a super-pillar if your opponent has the same mark as you.
