The core idea is to empower the player to be more like a false god or arena deck. It's probably overpowered as is, but I'm just putting it out there.

The cake is a lie!
Seriously, though, would Amrbosia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ambrosia) fit better?
Either way, would be a fun card. :D

THE CAKE IS A LIE
*cough*
Anyways, what good does doubling deck size do, seeing as you can't add cards mid-duel? Does it just create a copy of whatever cards are left in your deck and reshuffles?
EDIT: Aw, majofa beat me to the Portal joke by 30 seconds...

Does it stack?

Two cakes = 4 cards a turn? Four cakes = 16 cards a turn? I somehow doubt it :P
On a somewhat related topic, this would be a great choice for one of the remaining shards.

not intended to stack, but in the case of its use in arena decks or false god decks, i suppose +1 (to a max of 3) would be sufficient.
yep, remaining cards are doubled and shuffled (not that you would notice them being shuffled anyway, unless you just were rt'd)
ambrosia fits well, but i think everyone likes cake, even the gods.

How does a cake make you draw twice?

Probably should increase the cost by a whole lot there; double draw is inherently OP :P

I think drawing twice per turn can sometimes be better than double dexterity, since it increases your chances of getting the card you need.

if i wanted to I'm sure i could weasel my way into saying the idea is novel enough, but I'm not that guy.

Make it drain your quanta every turn then it might be better...

Upgraded version I feel is far too powerful. Kind of like the idea but also wonder how stacking would work.
What if it was a spell that could target either player?

Way too much better than Hourglass? At least Time Avatar | Chronos Avatar (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,19622.0.html) could be balanced..Edit: Damnit, ninja'd.
There needs to be a second core mechanic (some kind of cost) added to the first (such as Time Avatar's of benefitting the opponent, too) so that it's not just an over-expensive (increasing the cost is the only other way to balance it) SoR'd Hourglass in a single card. Only after that can you add additional mechanics such as deck-doubling.

ill probably just switch it to doubling deck size as time avatar has already introduced the double deal FG mechanic.

I think the card draw ability may have a :time cost, 'cause this card's too strong, and the draw ability is mainly own by :time .

Such a nice card, such a powerful card! I guess it's pretty OP not depending on its cost. 2x Firestalls? 2x nightmares in ghostal? 2x Silences? Oh my. THE CAKE IS A LIE
