NOTES:
Basically a counter to dead cards - shields, weapons, PA against Seism, etc.
You target a card in your hand and discard it, then draw two new ones. If you target Ghost of the Past you are dealt the appropriate damage.

Worthless in most circumstances.

This uses 2 cards to gain one card. This means you get -1 card, which means there's no real point in using it.

As it says, it's specifically for dead cards/to empty your hand for Hourglass, Fractal, etc. You're right though. It now draws two cards.

Seems OK to me but, is not it comes within the competence of Time? Its almost a Precog.

Its main function is not the card drawing, but to counter dead cards. The extra cards drawn is only there because it would otherwise be worthless.

Although I suppose another option would be to have it generate quanta instead.

Rainbows and mono-time already have Electrum Hourglasses, which are superior. They are jerks, and have no need for your card.

This card gives other decks (those which are neither rainbow nor time) a fighting chance to somewhat catch up with draw rates. I like it.

I tried that with the original version of Magpie | Magpie (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,27216.msg370036#msg370036), but it was pretty well panned.  Even the revamp didn't really gain traction.  To be fair, that was a creature and this would be a spell, but still.
