So you don't like Nightfall | Eclipse?

It's a permanent. This is a spell. So if you use a spell that kills all creatures, and your opponent then plays some more, you basically wasted a portion of your spell's power. I know that you're supposed to use strategic planning, but I don't like waste so I want to avoid it with this series.

"Dang, I shouldn't have played that RoF last turn." Yep, these kinds of situations annoy me, and I do not want them to happen to my Advanced Spells. You have a problem with it?

Personally, I like field-effect spells for that very reason.  In PvP, when facing an element that has field-spells, I can provoke my opponent into casting them early, then play something I don't want hit by them.  If I'm the one using them, I have to analyze my opponent a bit to judge his strategy and plan ahead.

The Advanced Spells are meant to be powerful. They're not meant to be strategic, because wasting an Advanced Spell, and thus wasting all your quanta, could be fatal. I deliberately avoided this with my Advanced Spells, which is why I don't have "kill all creatures", "destroy all permanents", or anything like these.

I still want to overhaul Damnation. Any suggestions?
