the card text was not written up specifically to exclude the cat. the fact that the cat would have to either explode when it triggered its ability (and be removed from play as a result), or go in line with aflatoxin and not trigger the explosion.
there would still be a corpse after oty ate it, a corpse is just a lifeless body- even if the oty bit it off in chunks or chew it up, it would still be a corpse, just in several bits, and would then explode.
the wording was standard, every card relating to a creature dying is written in such a way, if you want to phrase things however you want, your results may vary.
