Hmmm... I actually intended it to work only with pillars / pendulums... It had a lower cost and stats.
I thought that would be too limited so I extended it to include all permanents.
The pendulums are particularly relevant as the make a thematic link (e.g. using the gears springs, etc. from the pendulum to enhance the bot)
If the drawn / played part is making it too strong, the attack power buff can be removed (so it only buffs HPs).
Alternately, I can remove the "played" part of the trigger so that it only triggers off of draws.
I doubt it will be OP to keep it on the discard / destroy trigger since that takes more work to function.
