Rather than 'Cake' though, this could be renamed to 'Sap' or some synonym thereof to make it more related to Elements rather than Portal (*cringes slightly on thoughts of Portal trademarks*), but the mechanic seems delicious decent enough to provide Life some interesting strategies.

yeah, sure, i dont mind if things change after it gets to level 4 ha.  also, under parody laws the portal references would be more than acceptable (at least in the USA)

Thanks again for providing the written permission, but that statement above doesn't fly. N/A directly implies in the ATK|HP section the concept of a creature having two variables for its stats (See Scarabs - 'N' refers to their health, rather than a set number). In any case, if there are any alphanumeric symbols in the ATK|HP section when the card isn't a creature (weapons excluded because of Animate Weapon), then it needs to be changed to prevent confusion of those who look at the card idea and may potentially assume that the card is a creature (rather than the type you have). ^^;

Haha, I love this card.  I love the image, the idea, the name (although cookies would be more epic IMO ), and the impact this could have on the game in general.  This card is getting my vote for fun and creativity.

Let me put it this way; if your card was a creature, would you leave it blank? No; you'd have the appropriate stats to fill in that section to match the card image.

Likewise, if your card wasn't a creature, would things like 'n/a' or 'none' be okay? Not really; leaving it blank matches the card image the best, because we don't have special icons to match the image to show that the non-creature card doesn't have a set amount of 'HP' and 'attack' (excluding weapons again). ^^;

when i first saw the name of this in the level 1 area of card ideas, i thought "are the card curators losing it?" but then i saw the cand and fell in love.

i understand what youre saying, i just dont think many people look at the table and if they did they should have the ability to either know what n/a means or quickly find it out, and thats a learning experience, and now you know, and knowing is half the battle!

Since Cake will never be taken seriously / make it into the game (name not the idea), you should rename it.  How about Hive?  Does this generate insects for you, or does it take insects from your opponent?  If so, does the upped version attract unupped insects, and make them upped?
