Actually I was thinking that Black Cat | Felicia is not affected by its own ability. That can of course be a bit confusing because card doesn't say so. I don't know..
That doesn't mean much. For example: two cats would affect each other.
There are other creatures with 0 attack, that would turn become healers (which i think is A BAD THING).

Ok, ok. That solves a lot of trouble. You still didn't answer if the cat would cause antimatter effect (decrease attack below zero).

If I was to redo this card I'd make it a spell, Curse of the Black Cat.
You Target a Player and give them the 0|9 Cat creature who has the Ability, Bad Luck.
Bad Luck is 5% chance for all creatures on the same side to miss.

This prevents Fractal abuse because only the spell would pass control to the opponent.
This fixes antimater effects, and handling other cats by removing the -1 effect.
You can Cure your Bad luck with lobotomize.
Its mechanically codeable without to much trouble.

devourer rush plus 6 of this in = total quantum deprivation and lowered creature damage plus fractal =  :o


 :darkness+ :aether=Epic Pwnage
:darkness+ :aether nothing.  You can use this card in all sorts of nasty combos:

+ :air - Combine with Fog Shield to further reduce chance to be hit (also doable in mono-color).
+ :death - Combine with Aflitoxin to fill enemy field with 0/1 creatures.
+ :earth, :light, :death and :life - Combine with shields that further reduce damage taken.
+ :entropy - Combine with shield to further its longevity.
+ :fire - Hm... doesn't look like it really combos with anything in Fire.
+ :gravity - Combined with Armagio so he can absorb more hits, splash-in a little white to have Angels healing him.  Also, weaken the few creatures that get past Grav Shield.
+ :life and :light - Reduced damage from cat + Healing.
+ :aether and :time - Both elements able to make cat Immaterial on opponent's side so he can't try to kill it somehow.

Some are better combos than others, but really, this card can combo with nearly any color for a nasty effect.

That's a good idea; making the spell available and the Black Cat unavailable as a standalone. Even if you did Fractal it, you would only hinder yourself. :)

Fractalling Felicia makes things way out-of-hand. As we all know the Pest+Fractal code, we can easily obtain high amounts of  :darkness quantum. This allows users to actually 'spam' the cats and the opponent could practially auto-quit if he doesn't have a Lobotomiser weapon/creature.

on a slight note: do immortal creatures get affected? O.o

i would say immortalised ones would, as they are affected by the shields as non-tagetable, and unless the cat has to pick a target (which it doesn't) then it affects the field

As much as I like this idea... I think it is stupidly powerful.

The only way to do this kind of damage reduction to your opponents creatures is with a Diamond Shield... for comparison:

Diamond Shield
Cost: 7 :earth
Ability: Incoming physical attacks are reduced by 3 damage.
Countered by: Steal, momentum, explosion, blessing, chaos power, rage potion, pulverize...
Maximum in play: 1

Black Cat
Cost: 5 :darkness
Ability: Causes all enemy creatures to do 1 less damage.
Countered by: Rewind Time, Lobotomize, Mutation / Sniper & Otyugh (maybe)
Maximum in play: 6... (with fractal - a lot)


Sorry, sg. Need's a mega nerf in my humble opinion!

Maybe make it a permanent. That stays on your side of the board. Gives -1 to all enemy creatures. This way, there is no fractal abuse, and no 'play this card, but put it over there' stuff... Also, if your opponent uses Steals/Explosions, he would have to make a choice between stealing the Bad Luck, Shield, Weapon or another Permanent (of which there are many choices - empathic bonds/eclipses/shards etc). Think of it as a negative eclipse affecting all enemy creatures :)
