I think that it fits well as a gravity creature. But, it will be hard to get away with if it is going to be named Evil Eye. Lol

The only D&D experience I have is building characters and playing Neverwinter Nights (which is not pen and paper, but follows many D&D rules like dice rolls, difficulty classes, skill checks, armor class...).  I remember two-manning the Beholder Cave with a friend, there was an artifact that only dropped from the boss 25% of the time.  Was about a two-hour run IIRC...
