A rare card that generates large swarms of smaller creatures that need a different quanta to use the new creatures ability... wonder where that idea came from  :P

I'm guessing Bee|Killer Bee would be released as a common card along with this? Balancing the quanta to use the sting might be a tad tricky. Soul catcher with the unupped to create more :death per sacrifice sounds good. SoPa for the upped for some pretty strong repeatable CC. Does the ability target just creatures or can it target your opponent directly? That would make it more useful.

The ability can target players as well. That should set it apart from other poison mechanic abilities right now.

I was thinking of having no cost on the bee abilities, but that seemed a little too OP given that they can be spammed very easily. I figured the forced duo / trio is a fairly small price to pay for a versatile poison ability.

I wanted the hive to be a rare because you can easily get by with even just 1 per deck (like pharaoh).

Still, I like the idea, and the question above is the only one that comes to mind.
Yes, they are supposed to promote a particular trio, but still be useful in a duos.
I.e. the bee card works in :death / :life well (particularly if you throw in mitosis and soul catchers) and the hive can be useful in an :air / :life deck even without any :death quanta for bee skill.

I thought Bee / Killer Bee would make a good creature card in its own right
i.e. its a way to give people the option to vote on the "Bee | Killer Bee" as an individual addition without the hive. (like FFQ and Firefly are 2 different cards)
So, depending on whether one, the other, or both make it says something different.
I.e. Hive makes it but not the bee - Its a good idea to make it like aflatoxin where bee cannot be included individually but is only available via hive.
If only bee makes it, then no hive.
If both make it through the polls, then both are good ideas.
(and if neither makes it then its kind of a moot point :P )

A permanent that spams creatures, I like it. Fits well in the life element both game wise and thematically. 4 stars.
