I agree with johann to make the cost 2  :light because even the Other weapons are kind of cheap compared to this at the moment.
Oh, I didn't mean the card's cost, that seems balanced - especially if the ability is changed to actual Delay.  The ability cost on the unupped card doesn't need to be :air :air :air.

Consider switching this to a Light weapon with a Time ability cost - it fits the theme of Time better, and I don't see any problem with making this a full-on one-turn delay.  Some nice combos with Procrastination and Sundial (which uses Light, woot), plus Time can always use a little more stalling.

On the other hand, the ability costing an Air quantum does mean you can fit unupped Flying Weapon cards and make it a 4-6 creature lockout.  Would be an interesting combo for tournaments.
well, we do already have time delays (reverse time, procrastinator, etc.), and a water delay (freeze). so i think it would be fine staying air. the 'air delay' would be a wall of wind that cuts you up and kills you if you try to go through it
It is the greatest mystery of all...

Procrastination and Basilisk Blood are the only actual delays currently in the game (when you see an hourglass over your creature and the "delayed" counter in the tooltip).  Since it seems like a Time effect, I thought :time would be more appropriate, but Basilisk Blood is :earth.  Gameplay-wise, it is pointless even to differentiate between DELAY and FREEZE, since they do the same thing and do not actually stack (any more than re-freezing would stack with an already existing freeze).

Air is one of those elements I don't often play because it seems so hard to survive - almost every element gets a better rush (though Sky Blitz may have altered that), and Wings is a very situational stall.  Guess the poll will speak for itself?  :D

Close poll. Any other votes?

10 votes, good enough for me. Poll locked, card applied for Crucible. Thanks folks :)

Something strategic to add here that I didn't think of - I commented on this card before I commented on Gentling Touch, but a similar tactic is possible.

You can use this on your own creatures to prevent them being hit by certain enemy shields - I have used Sundial for that often in the past.  Of course, you can't use this on Quinted creatures, but still.  It's only practical if 1) you have permanent control you're waiting on, or 2) the creature you're preserving has an ability you need.

Because of this strategy, I'd almost say make this a mono card... but no, duo is probably best for balance issues.

You're on to me :)

I play a rainbow stall deck. It relies fairly heavily on the creatures I get out. Because of this, creature protection is key...you can see where I'm going with this. Sundial is just one of the inspirations for this card (along with Antimatter), but as I said before, I wanted to strengthen the Air-Light synergy. Come to think of it, a card like this could easily fit into a mono-Time theme. "Bubble Wand" or some such thing. Feel free :)
