Feels slightly (1-2 quanta) expensive.
I like the idea.

Verging on spam? XP

Also, I actually have that sword in the picture :D

Also also, it's an alright idea, but I would rather have the more powerful Morning Glory, or a still more powerful Owl's Eye.

I swear I've seen that sword all over the place. I need to go take some graphics design courses or something lol

Yeah, good idea, but the costs were all over the place for me. First time trying my hand at a weapon (almost forgot weapons can fly, too!).

My original thought for this was to make it more of a "quieter" Light weapon, something as an alternative to the bluntness of Morning Glory ("I'm invincible, and it hurts when I hit you.") I guess you could say I feel Light can be "sneakier" with its cards.

You're right Kamietsu, I should type the whole thing out just incase a lurker could learn from it. :)

QC

Weapons

Attack
+1QC per positive Attack (negative attack pending investigation)

Activation Cost
1quanta: +1QC
2quanta: +0QC
3quanta: -1QC

Restricted Permanent Slot
-3QC

Skill (prevent attack for 1 turn)
[Freeze on a creature = 3QC]
[Congeal on a creature = 4QC]
[Venom on a creature with atk>0 = 2QC]
[Venom on a weapon with atk>0 = 3QC]
Freeze for 1 turn on a creature ~= 1QC
Prevent attack for 1 turn on a weapon ~= Freeze for 1 turn on a creature

Upgrade
either -1QC or -2QC

Total
Attack [+4QC] + Activation Cost [-1|+1 QC] + Restricted Permanent Slot [-3QC] + Skill [+1QC] + Upgrade [0|-2 QC]
Total = 1QC

I would increase attack by 2 to balance

Really nice art on this card, looks sharp.

I agree, great art!

Now to the card concept... it's interesting.  Similar effect to Sundial, but single-target?  It isn't a Delay, as that would prevent the creature's ability being used.  I would almost say make the ability free or mono-element.  Why?  Owl's Eye can kill creatures, thus able to disable more than one at a time.  That said, this has a couple distinct advantages... it's able to lock out a creature with more than 3 health instantly, while you dispose of it some other way.  The stalling doesn't accumulate like Owl's Eye does, but it IS immediate.

Consider switching this to a Light weapon with a Time ability cost - it fits the theme of Time better, and I don't see any problem with making this a full-on one-turn delay.  Some nice combos with Procrastination and Sundial (which uses Light, woot), plus Time can always use a little more stalling.

On the other hand, the ability costing an Air quantum does mean you can fit unupped Flying Weapon cards and make it a 4-6 creature lockout.  Would be an interesting combo for tournaments.

Good idea overall, but I am really not sure if this needs tweaking or not!  One thing I would DEFINITELY do right away: drop the ability cost to 2 unupped, at most.  3 is pretty steep for such a temporary effect.

Wholeheartedly agreed (see card notes), and thank you very much for all the feedback!

I suppose it would help if I explained the dual nature of the card as well :)

-The  :air represents song on the wind...it's entrancing, or something. I dunno. Ever watch Roger Rabbit?
-I feel Air|Light need a stronger synergy.
-Time idea: nice. Never looked at it that way. I'll put up a poll.
-Ninjas are awesome. This doesn't actually have anything to do with anything, I just felt the urge to represent.

This + Flying Sword  (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,19180.0.html) + Crusaders = Win, and at the same time not broken.

Interesting card.  I agree with johann to make the cost 2  :light because even the Other weapons are kind of cheap compared to this at the moment.   I'm just curious : where'd the "Bard" part come from though?  It could've been called Silence Sword(just an offhand thought).

It went thru various permutations. Singing Sword to Singing Blade to Bard's Sword to Bard's Blade. I figured Bard because y'know, they imbue stuff with their song. Um. I guess. Look at this way, would you rather have a Sears guitar or Lucille (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucille_%28guitar%29)?
