If you play Ancient Doorway and it gets stolen, would the keys follow or would new one appear or would the keys stay on your side and still affect the opponent?

if a new doorway is played, would it make three new keys or use that last set? would the doorway be subjected to the last set's key's demise as well?
I too am curious about this Nepycros. I suspect I already know the answer but I'd like to hear your thoughts (as the card's creator).

I wracked my brain most of last night trying to figure out a way around the "Quint Problem" as well, but so far, nada. I did have a brief thought that, rather than 3 keys appearing at once, they would appear one after another, as they are destroyed, with a random spawn order every time. I know that kind of veers away from your original intent tho...one other idea that did show some promise was to simply make the "True" key unknown to both players. Kind of like how I never know where my keys are. Great card though! It's got me thinking  :o

Alright then, just proposing a possible argument. Hmm, this would combo with cloak well though. :D

Oof... a shield that can be dominated by both CC (Hope), AND PC? I guess the defense is wonderful to have, but even then, it feels forced to have such a incredibly extreme shield to be defeated by AOE effects, various forms of CC (Otyugh, Shockwave, Lightning, Owl's Eye, etc.), and several permanent control cards that are all (in a way) much less expensive than this card. If the Ancient Key is rewound, then I'm guessing the shield is also removed... :(

well being destroyed as soon as target would get rid of the quint problem, but make it too complicated.
i agree with the false keys being false to both players, becasue not only will you have to use 8(7) :earth and 12(9) :aether to get it quinted, but you could just get a PA'd diamond shield for just 8 :earth and not worry about the risk
i do think that if you make either of these changes, the cost could be lowered by 1 or 2

yeah Kuroaitou has a point, a lower cost would make this balanced probably

any deck with cc can kill it though, and hope only needs two more cards to get get a defense of 10.

what about making it immortal though?
