After not being commented on in months, I'd like to hear if anyone has some new thoughts, ideas, opinions on this card.

So this also goes into effect when your creatures are killed, right? If so, then if both players owned one, then both players would take the damage, right? In that case, it can't really be considered redirected..

If your opponent is also running this then yes obviously you're both going to take the damage.

How about reducing the cost just a bit? You can make some cool decks, but still seems a bit UP.

What about spells without unique target, for instance rain of fire? Do I suffer the damage after all of the creatures?

I think Rain of Fire is counted as a 3-damage spell applied to each of the opponent's creatures.

Rain of Fire was the first thing I thought of.

Example:  Fill the opponent's board with Malignant Cells.  Cast Rain of Fire.  Each cell takes 1 dmg; opponent takes 2x number of cells.

My first thought was the drain life, killing a creature AND causing damage, to your opponent beside healing yourself: fine!
