Just went over majofa's picks again. I really can't say I strongly disagree with anything. I think the wings deck against Zeru is great, as it makes all of entropy's CC cards just dead in the hand, and they don't have many flying creatures. Plus they seem to really favor entropy more than duos based heavily around other elements, so I think it has a great shot. The only one I am still unsure about is Poisonbolt. I just haven't been convinced that it has the speed for a low-defense deck to be a good PVP deck. I don't know how many options we have, though. It certainly can win certain match-ups, it just seems like a deck that needs some luck

I agree.  I'm concerned as well but I don't know that any deck would do much better.  We'll play them again, prolly next round, and choosing a deck for then is going to be even more difficult whether stinnger wins or loses here.

I'm concerned as well about majofa's recommendation for Acs.  Dim shields against gravity seems like an error.  They've used 20+ chargers both rounds and they have a flying titan deck that would be instaloss for us.  Hopefully they lost some chargers, as they went 2-7 last round.

As I said in the decks thread, I feel like Water will expect a bolt deck but I don't know how they'd be able to counter it.

That was just a first run at it. I doubt we'll end up using Dim Shields against gravity, but the problem could be solved with more Lobos added to the deck.

Jmdt and I haven't had a chance to test every scenario, so if anyone's done any testing (or is concerned about their deck) now is the time to say something. We have less than 2 days left for deckbuilding, but we should be done by tomorrow.

Also, I'll be on tonight at 10pm PST for about an hour or so to do some testing. Look for me in 'our' chat room.

For the record we only have one in vault.  I mentioned more lobos as an option last round cuz we could've taken a couple more with the propaganda bonus.

I really appreciate the work maj and jmdt have done for testing this round.  To the extent people can help by testing their own decks, teammate decks, or posting their matchup thoughts in general, every bit helps.

After some testing, poisonbolt should work versus :death for stinnger.  The discord deck may give us fits, but the matchup is still winnable.  For stinnger, don't be afraid to use early bolts as CC.  If needed, the poison may be enough to kill them outright with 1-2 bolts used as a finisher.  You should make sure to have extra CC such as rage pots to help in this area.  I like this version:

Code: [Select]
52o 52o 52o 52o 52o 52o 52q 52q 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f4 5f4 5f4 5f4 5f4 5f4 5f6 5f6 5fb 5fb 5fbFor lava I think I like quinted spectres.  Water has only 1 deck with an an answer to dim shields (steam machine), but it lost and I doubt we see it with the bolt threat.  I modified the deck with 6 shield versus 4 and removed a fire and aether pillar; at 14 pillars, the deck way way over pillared anyways.

Code: [Select]
5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f3 5f3 5f3 5f3 5f3 5f3 5f6 5f6 61o 61o 61o 61t 61t 61t 61t 61t 61t 61u 621 621 621 63a 63a 63aI'm still unsure what deck I like for acsabi.  Quinted spectres was a terrible idea (well the dim shield part).  I do have a few ideas.  Immophoenix owns gravity sans otys with its speed and would have the advantage on the discord deck they have.  A dragon rush with discord could shut down gravity's operation completely and pump out enough damageto beat them sensless.  We could also use the farenheight/bolt deck lava used last round.  Without deflag or steal for the farenheight the have no way to stop it.
