Thanks! This was a fun win, EMd but waited til the last card just to heal. Needs more Nymph Tears I guess. I put 4 SoF and 4 SoP.

I only played one game with this deck, but it was so easy that I think it'll work most times.

The shards of patience are crucial, so don't try to build it without those.  You don't even really need the shards of focus, but they make good overdrive targets and can get rid of eagle's eyes.  It would probably work unupped just as well, even the otyughs, as long as you've got shards of patience.  If you lack the nymphs (I added them so I could EM while keeping my creatures behind SoP until I'd healed to full) just add more overdrives or SoPs, or even nothing at all, to shrink the deck.  You could use shield // tower shield to reduce attackers damage, to buy more time, and with all fire queen's creatures being 3-4 attack, even the unupped shield takes a decent chunk out of that.

To take a hint from Swallow, if you don't have the nymphs, try a couple nymph's tears. You have no use for water quanta once you've gotten a SoP in play, so you might as well NT for the EM.

A few thoughts on your particular deck against FQ:

You probably don't need six SoPs since FQ has no PC and FQ will give you low-HP creatures to nom if you don't draw a SoP fast enough. 3-4 should be plenty.

You also don't really need the purify, as there's no poison to worry about.

Getting down to 30 cards is probably smart here so you can draw your useful cards quicker. Going up to six otys should hopefully help with getting creatures taken care of sooner, which would be basically taken care of by removing the extraneous water cards.

Either an additional gravity force or two or a permafrost shield or two could also be extremely useful for buying you time at the beginning in order to get the combo set up. If you add permafrosts, though, you'd probably want to swap some gravy towers back to pends in order to get the shield out early enough in the game for it to be worthwhile.

While I realize I'm the person who recommend NTs in the first place, NTs aren't really all *that* helpful (though I still think they're better than actual gravy nymphs for swallow) since FQ only has a few types of quanta. Dropping down to one NT could help a lot if you decide to add a permafrost or two.

I've recently put together an updated version of Fractal-Hope that has largely allowed me to EM Fire Queen reliably. The version I was using:

Base requirements are 6 RoLs, 3 shards, and 1 Miracle, but it's pretty much a guaranteed EM against Fire Queen unless you get a really bad draw. She always focuses Snipes on the highest damage RoLs from what I can tell, so you can build up your RoLs safely.

This would probably be the base minimum, though 2 miracles offer better coverage.


You could also conceivably throw in a dessication or two, and replace the sanctuaries with purifies if you feel the need (sanctuary is only there for EM, so purify works as well). Water quanta is fairly free once you put down the first shard. There's decent room to play around with it.

She seems to be one of the easier false gods to deal with. Step 1: Stall until you get sky blitz, fractal, vulture AND firestorm in hand with enough mana to play everything + x vultures (where x is the number of cards spaces you'll have in your hand. Drop everything in your hand (Vulture -> fractal -> X vulture drops -> firestorm -> skyblitz) and win instantly.

For a while I've been using an upped version of the deck in the OP, modded to get EMs. I don't have any definite stats (other than getting an EM with it this morning) but I can't remember losing with it.

EDIT: I've played a few more games and it's now 6-0 (only one wasn't an EM and that was my fault). It might have too much quanta and I'm tempted to change a Tower to another Heal. Or maybe remove one or both of the Shockwaves, they seem to be less necessary upgraded.

Wow. This deck is perfect vs FFQ. Started with 6 pillars and RoF, which I though was a terrible hand, but with the EH coming on turn 10 I had no problem starting and keeping the shield chain going. I've only played the deck once so far, but I don't think I would get rid of any pillars or shockwaves (helpful to knock down the hp of a queen or animated weapon so that a firestorm can kill them too). I could see the addition of some upped sundials possibly being helpful, but I'm not planning to add them at this point.

I modded the vulture deck, so that it gets EMs and is less likely  to loose because you dont draw stallpower early on. Probably works unupped, too. The pulverizer is mostly there to destroy lastturn sundials (so they dont stop your vultures from attacking).

I had such a poor draw that made me think I was not going to make it. Very lucky with shield draws just in time before the last one ended. I reached the point where she was all out while I needed RoF. Finally got it, played vulture + fractal + more vultures, RoF, sky blitz and she died in 1 shot.  Got upped Fahrenheit for that fight.

I used the unupped version btw.
