BTW, you're both right. SoV is kinda redundant because there is no technical synergy or thematics, unless the OP elaborates. Shards are meant to be thrown in any kind of deck, as Rutate said, but are better geared towards certain decks.
Meanwhile, Furball's deck idea is actually thematic. Sacrifice, to be near burning flame and be in constant pain to rush opponents with quick burns and long, drawn-out agony. Divinity, as fire burns away the impure, and gives off light to see by. SoP because fanning the flames requires patience, peace of mind and heart, and more patience.
Now, if we take that into account, let's take a look at the deck. Aether quintessence splash with SoV and somewhat standardized gravity rush.
Gravity binds everything together, placing you under burdens of mental stress. Aether's quintessence to break the pain, to allow freedom, even if it means being trapped in limbo, and void, to wash all the pain and sorrow away, complete peace at heart and mind.
