In the end though, you only have 6 Lightnings against 10 Chargers, and 6 Rewinds against 10 Animated Discords.
Eternity gets the rest of the flying Discords, and the remaining 4 Chargers are made up for by SoG/Procrastination.
10 Black holes is still 10 solid turns of denial, and this means it will be at most 10 turns before you get enough quanta for Eternity and procrastination.
Eternity is only needed after you run out of Rewinds, which are far cheaper to begin with. And since those 10 Black Holes will not necessarily be chained ten-at-once right at the start, there will likely be a couple turns shortly after the start that are clear enough of Black Hole-ness to build up enough
to play Eternity and Dune Scorpion.
I did forget about Chaos Power. That adds a wrinkle to beating up the Chargers, but as the AI tends to buff one creature extremely rather than spreading buffs among all creatures, it should be possible to let him keep the one, and Thunderbolt the others. Rewinds aren't supposed to be for Chargers, but if you have to survive, I guess that's that.
Main early-game survival relies on shards. Mulligan should get out a Nova or two somewhat early, if it doesn't you have to hope for no early Black Holes to squash your low time/aether/water quanta and get a couple shards out. One SoG is enough to counter a flying Discord or most of a Charger, and a SoD can buy you about four extra hits. Combine that with Rewind/Thunderbolt and you have good chances, and if things get really bad, a Sundial could save the day, especially if you can get a combo out on the next turn that involves two Novas for an extra draw.
It's not ideal, but then there are still actual FGs that beg an efficient solution. I give my deck (including shards) about a 50% chance to pull it off.
Other ideas that could possibly work: Pandemonium, Eagle's Eye (expensive...), Sexington's Ragequit-like deck.
