Subsequent Discords are redundant, though of course one will come out early and they do damage.
Shields do nothing, running rainbow is too slow and will succumb to black holes, and monos get delayed (though not completely screwed) by Discord. Speed is key.
There is no perm/creature control, though, so I'm seeing an out. Time/Aether duo should fare alright, with Lightning for Chargers and possibly also Water-mark-powered Mind Flayers... Rewind/Eternity for flying weapons and no-deckout stall, full complement of SoG and possibly also SoD to buy time, and the whole shebang powered by pillars, but with 6x Nova thrown in to burst low-cost cards out. Removing Momentum from the picture is only half the battle... Procrastination will kill half his power, effectively doubling your Shard healing. And also buying time against a Gravity nymph and flying Discords. If 4
seems too expensive with Eternity, go with Improved Fog. It won't stop his nymph, but it will slow his Discords almost as well.
On one Nova you can lobo one Charger/nymph, Rewind a Discord, THEN play a shard or three (random quanta usage may snipe your lobo/rewind quanta). Two Novas will power a Mind Flayer, Eternity needs to come out eventually but all you need is a turn or two without Black Hole-age to get it out, then save Rewinds for after Black Holes and use Eternity when he doesn't.
The strategy should work like a charm for shutting him down, but Mind Flayers and Eternity won't do much against his Black Holes' healing. An unconventional strategy may work for that... play only one aether tower and 2-3 time factories. That's all you really need to power Lightning/Eternity/Procrastination, and it will severely cut his healing. If in a bind for emergency quanta, you can stack a tower or two on top of a nova or two. Having only six Novas is a problem.
An alternative to low quanta production: burst out a Dune Scorpion and toss Momentum on it. Here's what I was able to toss together, it's rough. And kind of silly of me to propose a bane deck for a FG
idea, but I couldn't resist the challenge!
