This deck is based on the character 'Ebenezar Scrooge' from the book 'A Christmas Carol' by Charles Dickens. Maybe the god can be renamed simply 'Scrooge' to make it sound nicer.
Ebenezar Scrooge is a wealthy and successful old man, but stingy, selfish and cold-hearted. On the night of christmas eve, he had a nightmare, and in that nightmare, the ghosts of the past, present and future show him the despicable things he has done, the pain he is currently causing, and the unpleasant future consequences of his actions (including being buried unmourned and forgotton). There is a happy ending, but that's not relevant to this deck.
Apologies if the story is not entirely accurate, but you get the point.
As you might have guessed from the story, this deck is based on ghost of the past and nightmare.

The point is to cast nightmare on the ghost of the past, so that discarding them will cause the player to lose hp. If the player tries to summon the ghosts to remove them, then rewind will make it so that the ghost of the pasts will return to haunt them again. Playing silence and nightmare at the same time will effectively force the player to discard a card, increasing pressure to discard a ghost. Steal is for in case the player tries to play a sanctuary, and also alludes to Ebenezer Scourge's stingy and penny-snatching nature.
From a strategic perspective, this deck is about hand control. Rewind put a creature on the top of your deck and prevents you from drawing additional useful cards, nightmare prevents you from drawing any cards at all, and silence prevents you from making good use of the cards you have drawn. Hourglasses ensure the god will stay ahead in card drawing. I've met FG's with perm control (Divine Glory, Obliterator), creature control (Rainbow, Jezebel) etc but I've yet to meet a god who specializes in hand control.
Feel free to comment more on issues like quanta balance etc (I'm afraid this deck might be too luck dependent).
EDIT: Yes, I realize this is actually not a new idea (just started two weeks ago). I really think this ghost-nightmare concept would make a cool false god though, especially since it reminds me of Ebenezar Scrooge so much.
