Probably for some extra damage due to scarabs. Not sure why only one is included though.

The game is also probably over by the time you draw the Pharaoh, or whatever would have taken the place of the Pharaoh.

The theme is pretty neat, the synergy very unique.  Let's see how it works.

EDIT: Crushes a lot of decks with the amount of control it possesses.  The synergy is unique (though Hecate does it with dolls, this does use scarabs eventually).  It could use some pendulums, as it gets short on fire several times, the mark not being enough to fuel the several rages it can put out with the creature supply.  I agree with sevs below, Pharaohs would do much better in getting more attack out, given the fire supply is plentiful.

I think the deck would be better if you replaced all of the anubis with pharoahs, or at least better synergy.

But pharaoh does cost quite a lot of quanta..
I'm actually doing -1 anubis +1 animate so that it can bounce scarabs so it doesn't deck out.
Also, should I replace an eternity for a fahrenheit, or are raging scarabs a good enough use for extra fire quanta?
