Mimic

Much like a child learns by copying its parents, Mimic learns from its opponent. It adapts to the situation using Mindgates. As a matter of fact, by the end of the game, Mimic is probably doing a better job that the enemy is with 3-6 Mindgates running full steam.

But Mimic does just that, imitate. It is not in fact the opponent. Much like butterflies have evolved to have wings that resemble snake eyes, Mimic is rather clever. Mutations allow Mimic to adapt and evolve beyond what its enemy can teach it. And finally Fate Eggs allow Mimic to use time to its advantage.

When you fight Mimic, you fight the more evolved version of yourself.

Other people already mentioned this in the Echo FG proposal but I'll voice my opinion in here;

With only quantum towers and an aether mark, Mimic will have trouble getting any Mindgates out FAST. (2nd turn would be fast I guess but he hasn't even be able to use it at that point).
Using the few mindgates he can pump out in early stages, he'll always play a slowed down version of the players deck. Fate eggs aren't that cheap to play either.

To make a long story short: this FG seems a bit weak  :(

I respectfully disagree.  With 2x draw slapping down pillars quickly, Mutation making sure that any Fate Egg fails turn out all right in the end, and x3 Mark powered Mindgates coming down earlier than a player could probably play them, this deck seems "about right" for an FG to me.
If something happens and you think it deserves my attention, feel free to PM me. Other than that, I'm probably here if you want to shoot the breeze.

Well if you have 12 towers up you are making on average 3 Aether per turn +3 from the Mark. It costs only 2 to activate mind gate which means it can reliably activate 3 mindgates per turn.

24 towers means 6 average per turn.

The number of Mindgates ensures they come out quickly. The false god only needs 2 or 3 of them working to have a pretty big effect so it isn't a big deal if the others go to waste. They will probably end up mindgating more towers anyway so quanta likely will not be an issue.
