Cute and clever little deck, can't wait to try it. I've been alternating between CCYB and VVV since the decks in this particular FG's OP so rarely work.
Thanks, though I made it with unupped/no rares in mind. I use Ghostal or IGT if I absolutely have to EM him myself, I guess Instosis would work fine as well.

2-0 on trainer, feel free to add sancs, though I doubt the slim chance of an EM would be worth the higher chance of bad draws. Another Steam/BE might not be overkill as well.

tried it with +1 sanc and what I had upped - the sanc isn't worth it unless you have at least 3 for a good drawing chance. I managed to win with 1 card left and my last dim shield dissapearing - I think it might be better to either add 2 or so aether pends or take out 2 quantum pillars for 2 pends.

I had 2 aether pillars originally but since unupped hourglasses are quite expensive as well as the upkeep for steam machines and BE I switched to all QPs. And yeah, I wouldn't have gone with less than 3 sancs, but you'd still need early draws anyhow. Did you overdraw at all out of curiousity? The hourglasses are really only there to not get screwed on your shields like most times you play mono aether.

It's not that I overdrew, just that it took time to set up; starting hand had plenty of dim shields, but it wasn't until I had 9 hp left that I had enough quanta to play one (bad luck i suppose; more testing needed). Once I had enough QP to keep up a steady enough :aether stream, I was able to safely use fractal and stall to the end.

So Aether pillars/pends would really help the starting hand imo.

I suppose. Up to the individual I guess, quantum pillars can be fickle little things and withhold a certain element for quite a few turns against all odds. Good to know it won despite the unfortunate events in any case.

Two notes about the OP decks:
The 500 HP EM deck needs a Pulvy to EM by destroying Ferox' Staff now. The only way to EM now is to heal up fully, then completely clear his field of all offence, then hope he doesn't play anything more next turn. With that in mind, a better one could be made. As long as it has something like Dims or Sundials, it can still do it, but it's really gotten harder with the full HP fixes.

And secondly, the Instosis displayed here can remove the Chimera for another Time Tower (or even something wonky like a Phase Shield. really makes it an almost guaranteed win).

As a side note, I haven't had good luck with the CCYB variant :/
:aether  http://elementscommunity.org/forum/guilds/991-thunderbolts-ho!-991/ :aether
Aether is the prime Element present in all things, providing space, connection and balance for all Elements to exist.
Aether represents the sense of joy and union, and the ultimate potential of all things.

Is that because of the >500/500HP thingy (using the last SS on the final turn)? If yes, simply by activating any ability (otyugh for this deck) or play any card after the last SS will trigger your HP back to 500 HP and give you the EM.

Tested this deck out against Ferox and I can attest to its usefulness. It works beautifully.

I've found that "Flay 'em" has great success against Ferox, so when I rolled Ferox in the oracle I thought I wouldn't bother changing my deck. But then I decided that wouldn't be any fun. :P I like finding FG specific guaranteed counters. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be one for this God.

Drawing inspiration from Rembers counter, I made my own. And by drawing inspiration, I mean copied directly. Whilst the theme of his is "unupgraded and rareless", mine is "Steal Rember's idea and add upgrades and rares" xP

 Deck:

Basically, his deck works much better upgraded and with pulverizers instead of BE. I had considered using Lava golems instead of steam machines since I had them and prefer them over steamies, but figured that would strain the earth quanta too much. I'm guessing overall steam machines work better, but I really felt the lack of fire quanta.

Here is the best deck I could come up with on the spur of the moment, probably could use a little testing and tweaking.

Code: [Select]
4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vd 4vd 4vd 4vd 4vd 4vn 4vn 4vn 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f3 5f3 5f3 5f5 5f5 5f5 5f5
Ferox has no perm or creature control.  The idea is to get a Demon and Fire Shield out early and shut him down, then play a Fire Spirit and stack damage.  Threw a few Antimatters in there so you can pop a Dragon with one - otherwise his healing might allow him to wear you down eventually.  With consummate creature control, his Bonds should not be a significant deckout threat.

This deck is tiny, unupped, and rare-less.  Plus it's super-cheap at only 889 electrum.  Enjoy!

(You could also easily run a pseudo mono-Entropy with BE/Photons, Demons, Antimatters, and a handful of Dragons.)

Holy ****! I went down to 14 HP, and bounced back to 6 shy from EMing him
