Yep, even the best strategy ever sometimes gets a bad draw.  :P

I have two purple nymphs myself, maybe I should try that other deck sometime.

Today i had my most epic and longest FG match with ferox which i'd like to share.

I was using a variant of ccyb
Code: [Select]
6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6rn 6rn 6rn 6rn 6rn 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u7 6u7 71c 77f 77f 7ai 7ak 7dq 7dq 7gp 7gp 7k2 7q5 7q5 7q8 80h 80h 80j
I didn't draw my pulverizers till i had 7 cards left, so i couldn't get rid of feral bonds on time. So i was forced to play my eternity when there were 2 cards left in my deck. The damned mind gate (which was also one of my last 10 cards) didn't grant me enough damage creatures but tons of 1 ap creatures & useless permanents which you can tell with the count of non-creature mind-gated cards on my side and i even discarded few of them too. I continued hoping i would have enough time quanta to delay deckout and i could get this far. I was even close to deck him out unintentionally which i would some time ago, if his full hand wasn't preventing him to draw more cards. Check out the numbers :)

In the end, i lost by deckout after this turn where he had 1 turn die.

i was looking for a deck against paradox more consistent(uped) and i am about to test it.
them i saw that it was also good against ferox even not geting paradox in more than 40 times i will test it against him but for now see the deck i defete him and how
Code: [Select]
6rn 6rn 6rn 6rn 6rn 6rn 717 71f 7dg 7dg 7dg 7dg 7dg 7dg 7dg 7dg 7dg 7di 7di 7di 7dk 7dl 7dl 7dl 7dl 7do 7do 7n2 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q5 7q5 7q5 7q5 7q8 7q8?=soul cacher
but you can replace it toghether with greyvyard
by a photon/ray
:fire :fire DO NOT REPLACE-IT BY A BRISTONE EATER :fire :fire
------
i guess this deck have chances to win against osiris|fire queen|incarnate|paradox|or every many crature deck

Entropy/fire really worked great for me! But if i had used a 30 card deck, i would have decked out! Here is my variant:

Code: [Select]
4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vd 4vd 4vd 4vd 4vn 4vn 4vo 50u 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f3 5f3 5f3 5f3 5f5 5f5 5f5 5f5 5f7 6rn 6rn 6u7 6u7
It think the bit higher number of cards works to your advantage. If things run not optimal, you have a bit more time....

Added a single butterfly effect (to get rid of his bonds -> fewer healing for him), an additional fire spirit (as i will butterfly one), a fahrenheit (some quick damage) and 2 SoGs (to try EM)...i could even re-antimatter the last dragon and kill him...

Ferox is so easy, when Oracle gave me him I decided to have some fun, although I didn't win a card I did get a lovely amount of electrum :) (better than the 10 electrum that cheap Oracle gave me)
Code: [Select]
52n 594 594 594 594 594 594 5rp 5rp 5rp 5rp 5rp 5rp 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6rn 6rn 6rn 6rn 6rn 6rn 6u8 6u9 6u9 719 71b 74b 74b 74b 7ah 7ah 7do 7do 7q4 7q8Yes, I kind of don't have upped Stone Skins yet :'(
BE might as well be removed (never drew/needed it) and stalling longer might give you even more electrum than I got ;D

Rolled Ferox in the Oracle today, so here I am testing my own deck for real!  I decided to upgrade a few cards too - here's the deck I ran:

Code: [Select]
4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vd 4vd 4vd 4vd 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f3 5f3 5f3 5f3 6u7 6u7 6u7 7dl 7dl 7dl 7dl
Fire Bucklers and Improved Antimatter are definitely the most important upgrades - upgrading the Amethyst Pillars will take a lot more electrum for a similar effect, and Fire Bucklers improve your success rate even if you end up relying on your Mark in the start.

It butchered him, don't think he ever dropped me below 80.   :))
Since I had the upgrades, I used this version of the deck. I used it the past 5 times Ferox came up. I NEVER SAW A FREAKING FIRE BUCKLER. :'(

Yeah... that's why Octane is *possible* with RoL-Hope.  Sometimes you just don't draw anything good, no matter how you build it.

I decked out. :\ I was running low on quanta the entire game and almost died in the beginning. I also never used the Antimatters. Only nymph abilities. Maybe the Antimatters should be removed and replaced with more pendulums and another water potion.

This first deck worked amazingly for me, I barely hung on with 3 HP but I did it! I forgot to put the Shards of Gratitude in, as usual... still won. No card though.

Thanks for the idea, beef...I added some hourglasses and a few more towers.  Probably could have dumped the BE, plague, and forest spirits to streamline a little more...

I tried this fun...it didn't work.  Of course having nothing but 1 QT for about 7 turns probably didn't help much; I didn't get to use anything but an Improved Plague against him :\
