I think the way UW gets upgrades is still in need of fixing. Currently a level 6 UW player gets 1 additional "bonus upgrade" that they can put toward any element (over and above the bonuses everyone gets), but all six of their regular upgrades essentially have to be spent on quantum towers (and often as not rainbow decks use nova anyway so they don't need large numbers of upped QTs).

Meanwhile a level 6 player from a regular element can use their 8 upgrades on a whole element's worth of cards, and thus get much more out of them. I'm not sure the best way to fix this but it's definitely not a good balance atm.

Perhaps underworld shouldn't receive bonus upgrades, but instead have all their upgrades from underworld skills act like bonus ups which can be used in any element? So a lvl 6 UW player would get 6 ups for any element, while a level 6 fire player would receive 8 ups for Fire and 2 bonus ups for any element. That results in a more even balance imo.

What does everyone else think?
Actually is has been fixed, and the fix is almost identical to what you suggest. The problem is that there is a error with the Character Sheets that we need to fix.

This simple tool (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AgB8fZX7y8kydDF5RmRpUzlJYnJWMm5COHlkNEp4eXc&hl=en_US#gid=8) shows how the system works. Feel free to insert random numbers there and see for yourself.

Here's how it works:

Elemental upgrades = amount of skills in that element. Mark (compulsory first skill) gives +2 ups (total of 3).
'Other' upgrades = Total amount of skills / 3
Bonus upgrades = (Total amount of non-UW skills / 3) + Total amount of UW skills

I will fix the character sheets later.

 :underworld Character Sheets have been fixed. Others will give wrong numbers if you take UW skills. But for now they work 100% and they will be fixed later.

Small thing I noticed regarding UW's skills:

'Critical Strike'
If you win a duel, your opponent must discard 2 additional cards.

Compare this to Darkness's skill, "Backstabbing":
If you win a battle 2-0, your opponent must discard an additional 3 cards.

Shouldn't Critical Strike have 'duel' be changed to 'battle'? ^^;

Yes, you are right. Thanks.

And now I see that the two skills are way too similar so one has to go, probably the :darkness one.

We could have the 2-0 win activation, but try to have some kind of "Mage Hunter" effect to it. If anyone has any ideas, lets hear it.

We could also scrap the whole "Backstabbing" thing and go with something completely different.
