Little late to the party I suppose....I'm not one for long speeches and words so I will put this as simple as I can. You are the most awesome person I have worked with in anything. That ranges from hard labor to JROTC to group projects. You are the main doggone reason the newsletters had any info at all. I know you will do the people you love proud. Good luck in life Opsinis.

Free?  So you didn't just forget to wire me my pay?

Well, hope to see you again, Ops.  Look forward to bothering you with articles again.  Even if you aren't a Newsletter Writer anymore.

Relax. People in school always leave when it gets more hectic and come back when it's calmer. It's been this way since the beginning of Elements (and any other community with volunteer workers).

Ops, don't be sorry for anything. You did excellent work for free. Be proud. See you later :>

Ugh, another community member leaves.

Even if I don't really know you, and I don't read the newsletters, I still feel sad about it, a lot of great members left recently :(

Well, what can I say, good luck in real life and come back if you have the possibility.

Please lurk our forums from time to time, dude. ;)

Spoiler for stop making a scene please:
Sorry if being agressive, but there is no reason to make a scene if community elders or experienced people are leaving our community. Of course they helped A LOT and a million thanks or a thousand of +reps aren't enough to express their superhuman efforts. But we can't expect a single person to stay in our community for a lifetime, can we? Let alone to anticipate any Council member keeping his/her activity on a high level for the eternity. That's why a community needs new members in the first place; to replenish those who go away for any reason.
About the game needing more cards & other stuff, don't take me wrong, but EtG Community has a success which has nothing to do with EtG's success as a computer card game. There are Yu-Gi-Ohs and MagicTheGatherings out there which are, in my most honest opinion, not as great CCGs as EtG is, but they are much more famous and successful for sure. However, what was the last time you stucked with a gaming community other than EtG? That is because the rest of the web loves trolling, smurfing, flame wars and (c)rude behaviour more than anything else. EtG Community is an internetic oasis which can survive even if the EtG itself dies. ;)
We can't interact with the game and we don't need to do so in order to survive. Just keep both EtG related and non-EtG related events competitions and discussions ongoing and we are golden! Of course, we shouldn't let down our Leagues, Weekly Tournies, Guilds and any other stuff that makes this community such a great place! ;D
Long live EtG Community! Peace my brothers!

Sad day another person leaves and another staff member also so long op you did time proud in brawl, the newsletters will not be the same anymore, but as is said rl must come first. However it is a shame such a lghthearted member leaves you will be missed and do pop in again from time to time.

Spoiler for further hijack:
Expanding on what Pella said and what others have been regrettably saying for some time now, with each older member leaving elements and the community takes one step closer to the grave so there are three choices we have now. Condemn the game to the grave and stop playing, as a community take up the banner and make sure the game survives at least within the community or find a way to get Zanz to add more stuff to the game instead of simple bug fixes and the occasional card added to the overall cardpool (least likely to happen gathered from keeps' recent digging). What happens only time will tell I'm for the third option but more realistically I wil settle for the second option but that depends entirely on what everyone decides what I can be sure is unless something changes soon we will see many more of these before the next year comes.

bOp.

Spoiler for message:
I didn't really get you to know you Op, but I'm still saddened to see you go. You've had a great impact on this community (those newsletters have been fantastic, and were always good in chat), and I hope some day that Elements can find its way back into your schedule. You'll always be welcome.

farewell Opsinis (the leader, was confused and concerned)

Oh, wow.  Be well, Opsinis.  I hope we get to see you occasionally.  You leave a large hole in your wake.

Spoiler for hijack:
We've lost a Staff Member approximately every two weeks for the last two months or so.  This is getting depressing.

On a related note, when several leaders in a community leave within a short time, that community has no choice; it must change.  Whether the resulting change is good or bad depends on two things:
1) New leaders must fill the vacated roles.  When this does not happen, the community usually declines, then falls.
2) The new leaders should want their new positions, and they should want to do at least as well as their predecessors.  People who are forced into leadership positions generally do poorly, if they last at all.

THE POINT:  Today is the hour, now is the day, for people to step up.  If you have leadership qualities, the community needs you to use them.  If you think you don't have leadership qualities, yet you want to help, please offer your services.  Sometimes, leaders are found in unexpected places.

We need YOU.  We need you NOW.
