Aww... I'll never get the chance to see the freaky-dancing-octopus again....

About the "new community", I hear you. But for now I choose to believe that this new generation will become as exciting as it used to. For that reason, I hope that you'll try to join us every now and then.

I will miss you.
I know not only have I caused this, and I'm deeply sorry man.
I do understand your view of the community, but I respectfully disagree, it was bound to happen that we got new less responsible members, still we will also get new awesome members, and who knows soon enough, they will learn, same as we have learned.
Our community (And I say our, as you will always be a part of this community, inactive or not), will progress, we were all newbies who knew no better at some point, soon we became full fledged members, and then something more.

This community still has hope, please stick around and see how things unfold, and hopefully someday come back to us.

I play a game (can't say it, for advertisement rules' sake) where newbies could not talk in the main segment of the area. They were in the "newbie zone" until they reached a certain requirement, such as levels or posts. We could have a newbie thread, and once they reach 50 posts, be let back in. If that is done, we'd have "tutors" in order to answer any questions. This could be the difference between life and death for our sanities, since we all want n00bs to at the very least have some form of intelligent input.
Perception is the source of misunderstanding.

Why, yes. I do have a Mindgate necklace. It's how I ninja everyone.

I'm not too sure how to react to this honestly. Is this a goodbye post, where I tell you how great you've been? (Pretty great actually, you're one of my favourite people on chat - and I feel like, if I met you tomorrow in real life, you would be the same person I talked to, which is quite a compliment)

In terms of the falling community, I have to agree. The 'veterans' from when I started were the most intelligent, the best debaters or workers. These were the things that were respected, and therefore, the people who stuck around were all these. Now, not so much. I had written a huge wall of text about this, but lost it, so you guys will be saved from my rant of falling standards. (The irony is that it is being told by someone called DrunkDestroyer, who can say inappropriate, stupid and ridiculous things at the best of times)

I guess I'll never hear "Hello - It's Dragoon One One Four Oh!", but I can live with that. I could launch into a teary speech about why you should stay, but if you don't want to, I won't make you feel all guilty about it. But, there are still some decent people on chat (I'd like to include myself here), and I'm sure we wouldn't mind camping out in tourney room 1 if that's what's necessary.

No.  Freaking.  Kidding.

At least Mafia is off of my list.  :-\

Also, I recently talked to Plastiqe on a another site.  Elements gave me connections!
Else known as "JonTheBon"

I also make videos and stuff.

This is the first time I'm reading this actually. I think that the silly title made me not read it. :)

Interesting stuff.

I think that the feeling of "declining community" has more to do with the fact that people generally remember old things as better then they actually were, combined with the fact that they are getting bored with the game, and that lack of excitement projects onto the forums. If you are bored with the game, things that happen on the forums probably won't be that interesting to you either.

Like I've always said, Elements community changes constantly, because there is a limit on how long a free online flash game can hold the interest of a gamer. People we see here today, look nothing like the people we had in the past. If we look at the core of the community we had back in 2009, there would be only a handful of familiar faces. It's almost like a totally different community. People like to announce end of the world when veterans leave, but I know it's not as bad as it seems.

Of course it's sad to see veterans leave, but my consolation is that someone will probably replace them and take their turn of carrying the Elements torch. It always happens. At least as long as Zanz keeps developing Elements. "Mr.X" who joins today, could be tomorrows Icybraker, Chriskang, or Dragoon1140, that's just how it goes.

I have always liked you, starting from day one. You've also contributed a lot and helped out with tons of things. Hopefully some day, maybe when Elements gets a great new patch that makes it the most awesome game ever created by man, you will make a glorious return. Meanwhile, we'll stay here spamming the forums. :)

P.s. That Cookie I talked about a while back is hopefully coming very soon. Cookie Jar has been closed for quite some time because I've been too busy :)

I kind of want to start a "do you remember this guy" poll just as a fun thing.

Names would be:
Alaska (Guy who made the FG deck waaay back when)
BobCamel
ScytherLoL
Icybraker

And probably more long-gone fan favorites.
