Can't think of a witty subject, so that's what you guys get.
Anyway, unfortunately there's a lot of important events coming up in my life, and frankly EtG isn't too high on the priority list. In the absence of war, I find myself not reading the forums very often and not putting enough time into deckbuilding, due to my training for more important matters (kudos to those who can guess what those are). I've never taken any particular enjoyment in grinding, but I can't even bring myself to do it anymore. I feel kind of guilty spending time on here when there's real-life competitions that take preparing for. With the PvPWC essentially out of the way now, it's time for me to take a break and focus on the most important stuff. I'll be finishing up the remaining obligations I have here (Lost Temple, and possibly PvPWC if a miracle occurs), and then I'll be fading away, not doing much of anything except for lurking every so often.
I'm quite confident that I'll be returning semi-permanently sometime in the relatively near future (e.g. when trials begin), so unfortunately for you guys you'll still be stuck with me. I do plan to defend my mastership in Trials, whenever those are (I assume not for several months, what with brawl and everything), and hopefully get another shot at not failing war. Sorry Absol, but you'll still be losing. I'll still be here on occasion to moderate the Darkness card section (but let's be honest, moderating a card section doesn't require being here once a week
) and whatnot, and to check in every week or so in case there's a new patch or something else that seems extraordinarily interesting. However, I won't be in chat.
Thanks to the whole community for being awesome. There really aren't that many people here that I don't like, unlike essentially every internet group. Thanks to Team Darkness #6 (especially dd) for being awesomer than everyone else. There's more people that I would call out for being awesome, but they probably pretty much know who they are and starting flame wars seems unnecessary when war is still going on. To quote an influential person in everyone's life: "I'll be back". And yes, expect the car through the wall.
