Volunteers for False God specific decks https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=7178.msg77601#msg77601
« on: May 29, 2010, 09:30:28 pm »
I am looking for other players to aid me in the creation of anti false god decks which target specific gods.  These decks would preferably have few or no rares/upgrades, as I intend to help newer players out who do not have access to said cards.  Anybody who wishes to help would use the oracle prediction to create a specialized deck, as it is now feasible because the cost of changing marks is gone.   I understand this requires a small sacrifice, as some of the gods are free wins, but I would give up a few free wins in order to help this community. Anybody who wishes to help please post ideas here, and if you play against the false god, describe how the duel went.

That's a tall order. Mind if I post some decks that don't satisfy these restrictions?

I realize they are difficult requirements, however you just posted excellent decks for some of the hardest gods.  Surely we can come up with decks to beat the easier gods, and we can include upgraded decks for the ones that are difficult to beat, some of which you already posted.

I don't mean to curtail this thread, but isn't this what the individual False God Strategy boards are for?

I understand that is what individual threads are for- however look at many of the gods separate pages.  There is very little information about specific decks.  It is mainly strategies revolving around rainbow decks.  If you want me to stop here and just post multiple different threads across the boards, that is fine.

I am sorry if that last remark came as rude Jmizzle.  I get rather frustrated as the only time you seem to post is to completely shoot down my ideas.  This was more of a recruitment thread than a deck thread.  I am looking for people to help me defeat some of the easier gods with basic decks.  For example, I am quite sure it is possible to defeat Incarnate with a completely unupgraded mono entropy deck.  Yet, if you open up Incarnates section, there is nothing posted.  I want to help fill some of those sections to help the newer players.

For Eternal Phoenix, Divine Glory, and Seism, a standard Hope deck that utilizes Electrocutor works wonders. Regardless if the Oracle gives me either of those, I just use my Hope deck and get a win.  :) If this thread is targeted for new players, I advise giving them decks that can take out MULTIPLE gods, seeing as they are new and do not have all the cards needed to make specialty decks. A simple deck or two that does it's job in multiple areas saves a lot of money for what a person would want to invest in next.  ;)

Teach me, how do you defend against his rush, while keeping creatures out against his bloodsucker/plagues without using quint?

You have to understand the fact that alot of generic decks are built around beating most gods with a super high chance while a slight alteration can give you a better odds against certain gods

I really dont see the point of a deck trying to beat 1 or 2 gods regardless...

Osiris
Code: [Select]
5rp 5rp 5rp 5rp 5rp 6rn 6rn 6rn 6rn 6rn 744 744 744 749 749 749 7dm 7dm 7dm 7dm 7jp 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q4 7q4 7q4 7q5 7q5 7q5 7q5 7q5 7q8 7q8Explode all his permenant, use rewind + eternity only on his momentum stuff, SoG to heal, grvity shield will super quickly block him out, sundial in case of a bad draw and deck him out
(took me 5 minutes to build, can be tweaked, but definitely beats osiris like a baby)

This deck for example, can rarely, if at all, beat other gods....

That deck can never win!

Proof:

You can deal maximum 10 damage/turn because you can eat maximum 10 Eagles Eyes.
(You can´t probably eat all and some of your Otys are destroyed but that doesn´t matter for the estimation)
And you would need more than 20 turns to kill a 200HP opponent.(Probably even more than 30)

In 71% of all cases, your opponent has an Eagles Eye in the starting hand. If he plays Animate weapon only if he has a second weapon, you are dead after < 15 turns. 15<20.

I made a deck suggestion in the forum part for Octane.

Side Note: Octane doesn´t use the Gas, if you have a Reflective Shield.

I don't know where you got the idea that I only reply to you to shoot your ideas down. I posted one word in this thread and you took it personally.

I know exactly what this thread is for, because it is attempting to be similar to what my Deckbuilding 101 thread used to be, which is a series of deck idea threads aimed at a specific target for a specific goal. That series of threads eventually was made into one gigantic thread with its own navigation system, and was a pretty big project to compile. As I have done something like this before, and because I had planned on compiling a list like this already, I could do it, but since this is your thread and you started already, go ahead. :)
