Voted let it be. The quints are usually played on the right creature (gigantic spectres). This can cause trouble, unless you use BW or Gravity Shield (this wont protect you from fishes). Fishes are also bad and Otyughs arent a adequate defense vs them anymore. Overall, its a medium FG, no need to change.

I agree with what Higs said -- at the very least switching Towers to Pends to improve the quanta balance would help Elidnis a lot, but still keep it very beatable.

Thorn Carapace | Spine Carapace is one of the best counter cards against Elidnis. "So now it Quints a Spectre! Who cares really? Spectre is going down with Carapace in couple of turns."

Voted Buff, her quanta balance is hilariously bad. Maybe even remove her quints and add more TU's/adjust when AI uses TU. Would also buff Paradox who also needs it. (Gemini might be more of a threat though?)

9th Week: Eternal Phoenix

Description:
Code: [Select]
7dg 7dg 7dg 7dg 7dg 7dg 7dg 7dg 7dg 7dg 7dg 7di 7di 7dk 7dk 7dm 7dm 7dm 7dm 7do 7ds 7ds 7ds 7ds 7ds 7ds 80a 80i 80i 80i
This God combines 2 powerful cards (Fractal + Minor Phoenix) into one lethal deck. He first takes out a few Minor Phoenixes, then, when his 3x mark generates enough quanta, uses fractal and brings out several more. These phoenixes are nearly indestructible, reviving a turn after they were killed from high defense Ash. In case swarming Phoenixes are not enough to finish you, he has Ruby Dragons that have the highest attack power in the game (Not counting Chimera). 8 Explosions means you have to give a few permanent sacrifices, and Thunderbolt/Fire Storm/Fire Lance for CC in case you try to retaliate in the form of Creatures.

Counter Cards:

Thunderstorm/Lightning Storm
Effect: Deals 1 damage to every enemy creature. Removes invisibility.

One Shot "kills" his Phoenixes, 2 shots kill his Dragons.

Bone Wall
Effect: Summon 7 bone shields that absorb damage from a single source. Gain 2 shields when a creature is killed.

Excellent Combination with Thunderstorm/Fire Storm, and even without them it makes good Explosion Fodder.

Diamond Shield
Effect:Shield: The damage dealt to you from physical damage sources is reduced by 3

Eternal Phoenix's Phoenixes loses 75% of their attacking power to this card, and even makes a little difference with Dragons.

Antimatter/Improved Antimatter
Effect: Invert the attack power of the target creature (the creature inflict heals instead of damage).

Ruby Dragons are the perfect targets for this card, without a shield it can nullify almost 4 Phoenixes, with a 1 damage reducing shield it blocks off 5 phoenixes, with a 2 damage reducing shield it can block off 8 Phoenixes, and with Diamond Shield you can block of 15 Phoenixes. 2 Antimattered Dragons can nullify the damage with a 2+ damage reducing shield.

Fire Shield/Fire Buckler
Effect: Shield: 1 damage is dealt to any attacking creature

Repeatable Phoenix Murderer :). Once they revive, they'll only be killed again.

Rain of Fire/Fire Storm
Effect: Deals 3 damage to every enemy creature. Removes invisibility.

Kills all his creatures in One Shot (not counting Ash)
Results:
Nerf: 11
Buff: 0
No change needed: 11

I voted keep him. EP is challenging with a regular deck but easy enough to beat with the oracle deck that it sort of evens out.

I'm leaning towards nerf for EP, he has the highest effective PC density out of all the FGs and cards like thunderstorm are rarer than marks cards in usual play.

(Also maybe add PA/Perma/Nightmare/UG to counter cards?)

I also voted to nerf. This is one of the hardest FGs in my list. Removing some explosions would be highly appreciated :D

The 2 Firestorms seem unnecessarily cruel against RoL/Hope, and his PC density is beaten only by Divine Glory's. Although he can be beaten easily with a counter, so can Octane. Voted to nerf.

Off-topic: Octane vs. Eternal Phoenix? Now there's a match I'd love to see :)
Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.

10th Week: Ferox

Description:

Code: [Select]
7ac 7ac 7ac 7ac 7ac 7ac 7ac 7ac 7ac 7ac 7ac 7ac 7ac 7ac 7ac 7ac 7ac 7ad 7ad 7ad 7ad 7ae 7ae 7ae 7ae 7af 7af 7af 7af 7af 7af 7ag 7ag 7ag 7ag 7ak 7al 7am 7am 7am 7am 7am 7am 7an 7an 7jp 7jp 7jp 7jp 7jp 7jp
Ferox usually opens the game with a heavy creature spam, including Elite Cockatrices, Leaf Dragons, and Giant Frogs.  Basically, you need your defenses up quickly as well as healing. He has the capability of ending the match in 4 turns, though the rush is really the worst of it. Having no PC/Heavy CC will hurt you a lot though. She plays the Rols to get :light quanta and uses it to gain :life quanta with Leaf Dragons. Her Frogs and Cockatrices will twiddle down your health until she gets enough quanta for the big guns (Jade Dragons). Ferox has 48 creatures in her deck and uses it to her advantage with her 12 Feral Bonds (9 of them with a full field will heal her up to Full Health every turn).

Counter Cards:

Pulverizer
Effect: :gravity :gravity :gravity:gravity :gravity: Shatter the target permanent.

You need a repeatable PC destroyer to get rid of the Feral Bonds.

Rain of Fire/Fire Storm
Effect: Deals 3 damage to every enemy creature. Removes invisibility.

This'll kill all the Frogs, Ray of Lights, and Leaf Dragons in one shot.

Otyugh/Elite Otyugh
Effect: :gravity: Devour: Swallow a smaller (less HP’s) creature and gain +1/+1

Elite Otyughs eat everything Ferox has besides Jade Dragons, and Regular Otyughs can eat the Rols and can be Ferox's worst nightmare just by boosting Regular Otyughs Size by 1
Results:
Nerf: 5
Buff: 4
No change: 20

I want to say buff...because it has no CC or PC at all. Replacing the Jade Shield with Thorn Carapace would be enough to give it a soft CC option.

And I find Ferox usually has a :life quanta excess in the late game...does it really need that many Towers? Considering it can power the quanta off of Leaf Dragons too. Trimming the deck might make Ferox faster and more efficient.

Thread title still says "Eternal Phoenix".

Voted to let it be. All that healing is already crazy for a lot of FG killers. Also, his rush is really dangerous, I think.
