Who is generally considered to be the best false god? I know they all have different strategies and so are hard to compare, but still. There must be one or two that are considered to be better than the rest.

Do you mean best playing or best to play against? I'll assume the former.

It really depends on the deck. Dark Matter is probably the hardest god for rainbows, but is very easy with mono aether. Overall, I'd probably say Rainbow gives the most decks a hard time. Hermes and Eternal Phoenix are pretty difficult for unspecialized decks, maybe also Divine Glory. Seism is rough without supernovas or protect artifact. Scorpio too against decks without purifies or a lot of healing. Graviton isn't fun either. These are probably some of the hardest gods in my opinion.

I'm going to guess you meant the best to face off against.

In that case, I'd say Paradox. Any type of consistent CC (Lobo, Otyugh, ect) pretty much negates him, or at least a decent shield, and he dumps cards on spins often.

Hardest - Rainbow, Hermes, Dark Matter

Easiest - Paradox, Osiris, Destiny

Most Profitable (short match, high chance of card win) - Paradox, Osiris

Least Profitable (long time to win, low chance of card win) - Rainbow, Dream Catcher, Scorpio

Osiris isn't that easy for some decks. In general, Neptune is easier. Other relatively easy ones are Incarnate, Ferox, and Fire Queen, as long as your deck is well designed for FGs and has some control (RoL/Hope may not do so well).

Neptune is easy, but he's auto-quit for RoL-Hope.  Damn inundations...
Incarnate is pretty easy too, I'd put him on par with Neptune assuming you're using rainbow of some sort.
Ferox is tricky for RoL-Hope, and can often out-rush a rainbow.  I'd put him as mid difficulty.
Fire queen is easy as well, though things can get out of hand if she throws out too many queens at once.

The reason I say Osiris is one of the easiest is he is easy for ANY deck at all.  With my RoL-Hope, I EM him 70% of the time I get him, and with CCYB variants, he's almost as easy.

Not good for boneyard/mutant rainbows though. And Osiris does sometimes manage to rush fast enough for a kill if you don't get a permafrost out. Neptune just fails.

Not to go too far off tangent here, but RoL/Hope can get past neptune if you play the 7 creature-slot-shuffle game just right. Usually, if I can get 6 RoL and leave one slot open for a Dragon/Angel, I can just fractal spam for the win in the inudated areas. I won't say it's a good win often, but Neptune is beatable with RoL/Hope. The only auto-quit FG for RoL/Hope, in my opinion, is Octane. Every other FG is beatable with RoL/Hope

If you are worried, just add 1 grav shield in addition to permafrost. They compliment each other very well, and although you'd think that gravity quanta will eat into playing oty, its only 3 :gravity, and pretty much autowin against some FGs makes it worth it.
