Does Rol/Hope work without the lobos? The what is needed to upgrade? 6 RoL, is that it?

yes nedded is only 6RoL but lobos are always good addition as it will make most gods very doable(osiris,fire queen,)
also helps on almost all of them

Yeah, technically you can get the combo going with just 5 RoL's in your deck, but your win percentage shoots against harder gods when you get SoG's, and Electrocutor lets you play three or four more of the FG's, and also increases the win ratio against all of them (except possibly Decay). The only problem is that both SoG's and Electrocutors slow the deck down (especially now that SoG's cost 3, which is why I recommend one quantum tower), but it's worth the large improvement of win ratio as I see it.

It's difficult to say, even without factors such as whom you're fighting, and any kind of special restrictions or limitations that the battle may have.  My favorite "RoL/Hope variation", however, would be my own Despair (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,10229.0.html), which, if not for theme, versatility, or variety, can be a very useful alternative under specific circumstances.

Yes, I know; whom.  Crazy, right?  It's almost as if I know how to speak properly....
