So given how much of this game is deck design, and given how most successful deck designs are variations on rainbow, I thought it would be fun to try something different.

The idea is to come up with a deck designed to be played by a false god. That means:

100 cards
3 quanta from your mark each turn
2 cards drawn each turn

I'm not sure what limitations false gods have on how many of a single card they can have in a deck - but its clearly more than what we can have (maybe limitless?).

How would you design the ultimate deck to beat the top god-farming decks?

Death mark, 100 poisons.  Not deadly poison, those cost too much. So 6 poison per turn.

with 6 poison per turn, damage would go like this

Turn 1:  -6
Turn 2: -12
Turn 3: -18
Turn 4: -24
Turn 5: -30
Turn 6: -36 Dead

Very nice lol. Poison is very popular at the moment; I've been seeing more and more purifies in t50 decks because people are using speed poison decks to farm them.

I'd like to see a time/aether false god deck based on the Deja Vu Rush Mr. Jellyfish posted here; http://elementstheforum.smfforfree3.com/index.php/topic,639.msg5915#msg5915 (http://elementstheforum.smfforfree3.com/index.php/topic,639.msg5915#msg5915)

Hmmm . . . I have a couple ideas.

A Rainbow deck, entropy mark, with flying weapons and Supernovas/Towers.  The most effective deck would probably only have Pulverizers, Lobotomizers, Eagle's Eyes, and maybe Druidic Staff.  But for theme's sake 2 of each weapon plus 2 extra Pulv, Lobo, EE (30 weapons altogether); 30 Animate Weapons; 40 Supernovas/Towers.

A Darkness/Earth deck chock full of Pests, Improved Steals, and Quicksands.  Not sure of the ratio, but the idea is to destroy/steal your pillars and permanents while Pests suck up any quanta you manage to get.  Fill the rest of the deck with Darkness Towers and Dragons.

I really like this one. I would add some anubii and enchant artifacts. But for me the ultimate flying weapon deck would involve more eternities. 6 flying eternities is near impossible. 6 immaterial flying eternities is even worse. Time mark rather than entropy would ensure the quanta required to power them.

Awesome as well.

I like that both of these decks would be effective against rainbow god-farming decks. Hopefully if more endgame content is added to the game we'll see more challenging decks like these, because as it is rainbow obviously creams most of the gods. These decks would both require very specific builds to overcome.

I was surprised when first playing the false gods that there was no mono-fire deck, because the extremely fast quanta generation of gods would be well suited to a flying farenheit deck.

Well, Fire Queen uses Animated Fahrenheits, since the Elite Fireflies produce Fire Quanta...and a lot of it if they're not taken out quickly. o-o

Yep, but not only are they a lot slower than towers, they're also generally easier to take out, and way easier to take out than a three-quanta mark lol. False gods often have dozens of towers in play by end game, if they were playing RoL's with Cremation, that would be hundreds and hundreds of fire quanta. No other creatures in play and it becomes difficult for a rainbow deck to maintain its bonewall/graveyard unless it's eating its own fireflies, which it needs for mutation and damage. And when the bonewall falls, well, we know what farenheits are capable of *shudders*

Lol. Well, we also have to remember that these Fake Gods need to be beatable as well. For example, have you noticed how Seism doesn't run Electrum Hourglasses? It's because if he DID play them, it would make him nearly impossible. Also, think of the weaker creatures he employs (Antlions, Gnome Riders, Giants, etc). Sure, we could design our own Fake Gods, but if we do, we should keep balance in mind.

No it doesn't. The Poison idea could only be countered by Empathic Bonds, Miracles, and a lot of Purifies used at intervules. It'd be beatable, but very, very hard, and the deck would have to be very speciallized, too...though, come to think of it, that Light deck with Mark of Life and Rustlers, Miracles, and Dragons would probably beat it...though it'd have to be fast. =/

If I were a False God:

My name would be Magazine

The deck would be Time/Life with a side of Light

Divine Mark of Time

6x Time Tower
6x Electrum Hourglass
8x Rewind
4x Eternity

40xEmerald Tower
8xFeral Bonds
10xLeaf Dragon
12xJade Dragon
2x Jade Shield

10xRay of Light
6xImproved Blessing
2x Morning Glory
2xImproved Miracle

4x Animate Weapon

 (120 card deck)

Basic strategy is pretty obvious: deny enemy creatures with Rewind/Eternity, spam creatures big and small, Bless them, heal up with Bonds and Staffs, Animate weapons for more fun.

If something happens and you think it deserves my attention, feel free to PM me. Other than that, I'm probably here if you want to shoot the breeze.

Love Essence's idea, but I don't understand the name "Magazine."
