I recently started playing Elements, and I need advice to kill my first "FG" https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=47062.msg1044530#msg1044530
« on: February 20, 2013, 02:32:32 pm »
I actually joined yesterday, and I've already managed to kill over 200 Level 3's which has given me a lot of currency, I have about 2400 stacked up and waiting to buy a deck that I know is going to be effective against a False God.

If anyone could post any deck ideas that are really good against FG's then I would greatly appreciate it, I've been asking in Game Chat on Kongregate and I don't seem to get much response back, though I hear my best bet is to build a Rainbow deck, which is more than 5 Elements in one deck if I'm not mistaken.
Any help would be amazing, thank you for reading as well ;)

RoL/Hope or Limitless is the cheapest, standard FG killer. But even those decks yield around 35% winrate.
Also, those decks require 6 upgrades (9000 gold), not counting the three Lobos required by RoL/Hope and the other cards which have to be bought.

However, there are some unupped rareless FG killer. Don't expect much from them, though.

I'm not really familiar with the short terms you are using just yet ;) What does RoL mean? And By "3 Lobos" do you mean the Rare Aether Weapon?

Thank you for your time and replying.

Ray of Light. and yes, the Lobotomizer for Aether.

you should survey your options. There is "ROL/Hope" which takes 6 upgrades. There is "Limitless Speed" which takes 6 upgrades. There is "Firecell Scavengers" which takes no upgrades, but is less effective.

Wow! Seems you have quite an enthusiasm for the game from the start! That's nice to see :)

One thing Absol and wiidgc didn't mention is that there are other versions of RoL/Hope - which uses Luciferin to make up for the lack of :light producing Ray of Lights. However, I don't have a link to any builds at the moment, but if you ask around I'm sure someone will show you.

Every day you can go to the oracle and spin the wheel.  it will tell you the next FG you will face.  you can then go to here: http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/board,88.0.html and find the FG on the list, click it, and then click Oracle: (name of FG) in that sub forum.  There you will find 1 or more mostly unupped and mostly rareless decks you can use to defeat it.  that is your best bet for now.

If you think that it may be best to save up some :electrum first, or if you need moar cash to build an FG grinder, I'd advise taking your hand at the arena. If you can build/find a deck that can at least reliably grind silver, you'll be making much more money than if you were grinding AI3, and you'll have good chances at getting some unupped rares that you might need. :D

Here is the thread for limitless speed-deck: http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,31572.0.html

Shortly said: You wait for 8 certain cards for a one-hit-KO while hiding behind dimensional shields. I use the fatty version with a purify against the poison gods and it works well.
Do you have a great idea for a Weekly Tournament? Post it here!

This is what I'd start with.  There's also a thread that tell you the exact deck contents of the FGs, so if you think you can do better than people's recommendations, you can.

Firecell FG OTK is rareless and unupped, but it is highly inconsistent at winning games. Limitless speed is your best bet once you get enough electrum to upgrade 6 cards.

Limitless works fine with 3 upgrades only. When I started grinding FGs I used this

Rather than getting FG farmers, it'd be best to start off with the FG predictions and find a suitable counter day-by-day.
