Seism... Nymphomania is my FG deck, though I don't do much FG fighting these days. Playing Seism with Nymphomania is fun because of the variety of ways you get to play your pillars and the double role pillars play in Nymph decks. Considerations include:
1. I need to nymph my towers, so I can't just protect them and go on my merry way
2. But since I carry a protect artifact, I can protect a stack after I get my nymph out of it. That is if there is a stack left to protect.
3. I have 3 different kinds of tower, with different levels of scarcity, plus - specially for Seism - a single unupped pillar for two of those. Effectively I have 5 different kinds of pillar/tower and I can decide which one I want him to quicksand first and which one I want to effectively protect by putting it at the end of the line.
4. But I can't put down more than one of each or he will mess up my whole line and go for the one with the most pillars/towers
5. Which brings us to, dole the towers out one at a time or try and rush if it looks like he doesn't have quicksands? OK this looks like a good time to rush. But wait I don't have my nymph yet. Compromise? Rush all of them except one. Is it still worth it?
6. The relative scarcity of quanta makes for a more tactical placing of antimatter. Get his shrieker before he burrows it or wait it out for a dragon? Will I have the quanta to do both? Plus the shrieker is going to unburrow if my HP gets too low. That may kill me or it could save me if I decided to antimatter it.
All these pillar considerations on top of normal strategy are fun. Plus Seism is not a guaranteed win or guaranteed lose, you have to work for it.
On a related note, wow seeing all the FGs in a list like that, there's a lot of them. In fact *counts* we now have all 24 FGs. That makes me a little sad, there's no new ones around the corner. But hey now that FG rotation thing can be implemented. Or maybe what zanz was saying about weighting them according to how hard they are on average.
