I'm posting this to ask people out there to share their favorite false god specific strategies. Even if you think a strategy might be obvious, please post it anyway since it might help someone new to the game.
This was inspired by one of my favorites.
Chaos Lord
I recently finished a game against Chaos Lord where he put up a dissipation shield early in the game. When this happens, I concentrate on getting as much damage on the table as fast as I can, in order to completely deplete him of quantum. Of course, this works much more smoothly if I also draw a pulverizer. I don't destroy his dissipation shield (unless he has a ton of quanta and it's close to the end of the game), instead, I destroy his towers, one by one, starting with the quantum towers. Even without a pulverizer, if you can leave Chaos Lord with 0 quanta around the middle of the game, it's usually easy to win after that (depending on how many towers he has).
The converse of this is something that I have stupidly done too many times. Do not ever steal his shield unless you have no fear of running out of quanta. If you steal it around the beginning of the game, you will likely die. You'll take no damage for a few turns, but be left with absolutely no quanta when the shield finally fails. If you steal it without thinking ("d'oh!"), save your supernovas until the shield is gone.

It's perfectly ok to steal the shield if you have no other (easily available) way of destroying it and are going to play a shield of your own right away anyway.
Just make sure to steal before playing your own shield...

Bah, i simply wait for a pulverizer or a destroying nìmutant, then kill him.
Nothing is boring as destroying all those pillars one by one (and that means you DO have destroying ability, so why not the shield???) making the game longer and longer

Yeah, I realize it would be faster and easier to destroy the shield, but I guess I find it fun to watch him run out of quantum. Probably not the best false god strategy to start with, although it is definitely worth mentioning to be very careful stealing his shield.

Trident is a nice alternative to Pulverizer - destroys up to three towers per turn for three Earth quanta (not used for much else in my deck). I agree about letting the Dissipation Shield stay up.

I'll generally destroy pillars until I get control of the board with my creatures, then take out his shield. He'll sometimes play another one or two but just destroy those also.
I have played a game or two just for the heck of it I smashed his pillars until he ran out, but it was more just to see it done than it being a good strategy.

I always love destroying the shield the hard way, even if it takes twice as long. If I get a pulvy out or a creature with destroy/steal, I go for the pillars :D. It's more fun.
Anyway, I love stealing Graviton's shield to stall for time until he gets a suped up firemaster with momentum. At that point, I start sundialing and get a bone wall + graveyard + 2x fire storm combo to destroy everything. I then eat the firemaster with 1 hp left. It's the funnest game turnaround I have, with the exception of a few Incarnant combos.

Against Hermes, I like stalling with Sundial until I get two PU, then I copy his armored golem twice and start swinging for over 40 a turn. :D

I think Hermes is my least favorite false god. It seems like I never get enough sundials before he destroys me with fire lances. Still, PUing his giant golems does sound like a good idea if you can last long enough to do it. Get a bone wall up by that point and you're probably golden.

The hard part with hermes (and to a lesser degree graviton) is getting a bonewall started with the dozens of creatures he can throw out in the first few turns.

Fire Spectres, Ruby Dragons, and Brimstone Eaters are easy prey to a Firestorm. When you can, drop a Bonewall and Graveyard the same turn you Firestorm. Not only will you bulk up your wall with his creature kills, but you'll draw out any Firestorms he has when he kills your Skeles bulking up your Wall even more. Then safely drop your Otyugh and FFQ to start healing up as fast as you can. If you can, keep reversing a Dragon with Eternity to keep his Fire Quanta down making his Lances less powerful.

That's all true, you just have to live long enough to be able to set that up :)
I never thought about rewinding his dragons, though. Odd since I use that against Miracle to keep him from building up white quantums!
