FG deck requirements idea https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=11472.msg141166#msg141166

First let me say if this belongs in a different topic I'm sorry  ;D Anywhoooooooooooooooo...

I've recently been seeing a lot of FG proposals, and quite frankly, are extremely difficult to beat, even more so than the ones now. So I have an idea, what if when you post a FG deck, you also post 3 other, unique decks that could be it. And by unique, I mean 3 different deck, not the same deck and changing 1 card 3 times.

Feedback?

Could beat means one out of...? times

You wont know until you try it. I would suggest making three decks with overall win ratio at least 50%. But to know that before the god is posted, it would need some separated space in trainer. You would simply "define" your god there (give it name, cards and mark) and then you would be able to face it in battles

I like that idea, that way you can actually test how functional the FG deck is too

and I was thinking at least 40% out of how ever many matches are appropriate

no i was talking about if you post 1 FG deck idea, you need to also post, in the same thread, 3 anti-this FG deck, that way it slows spamming these, and also slows spamming extremely difficult FG ideas

I assume you meant beat, not be?

It sounds like a good idea, but there should also be some requirement on the other end to make sure the god isn't a pushover.

A 50% win rate with three different decks might be a bit much, as I don't see many accomplishing that with some of the harder current false gods. Maybe 50% with one deck and 30% with the other two?

This would definitely force people to put more thought into creating a god, actually worrying about its functionality, difficulty, strengths and weaknesses, and general ability to hold the name of false god, rather than just throwing a bunch of cards together with no testing.

if the god is a push over it would be a level 5 or 3

and i didn't say 50% would be good, if you could win 50% of the time against a FG then it's to easy, even some of the best decks only have a 30%

I disagree, actually. If you can come up with three decks that can beat an FG 50% that they're specifically designed to beat, then good for you. I'm not anywhere near an extremely experienced player, but I'd be willing to bet that most or all of the current FGs could be beaten on a regular basis if you knew who you were facing.

where is everyone getting 50% from? I have not said that, I actually have said that it shouldn't be that

and the regular basis remark, is wrong, alot of decks already have a high difficulty of defeating any FG, and there are so many varieties of FG's, only a couple decks can do well against most of them, some of the FG's are even to hard for those (like Seism and Rainbow)

It wouldn't be anywhere near impossible to build a deck that beats Seism or Rainbow 50% of the time. Three decks? That may be nearer. But these are two of the hardest gods; many easier ones (Neptune comes to mind) can be beaten with a much higher win rate than 50%.

No one said you said 50%, maybe we came up with that number.

But I think 50% is a good number for one deck, since Korugar is right in that it is much easier to beat a god with a deck specifically designed for it than with a general FG deck.

And the deck CC? Why Bother? currently holds a 63-67% win rate against ALL gods? I don't see that it can be difficult to achieve even higher numbers with certain decks against certain gods.
(I think it's been said that RoL/Hope will win against Divine Glory 90% of the time?)

Of course, some gods simply are going to be easier or harder for certain decks. Therefore, a winning percentage isn't going to be enough to determine the god's difficulty.

Then again, these are only requirements to suggest the god; nothing guarantees it will actually become one.
