is it just me or do other people think that dark matter has WAY too many black holes/grav nymphs?every time i face him, i have to discard cards for about 6 turns, then i get the chance to play a few supernovas, but then he summons 2 grav nymphs... then im almost never able to play a card after that.
ps:
ive been thinking about it and maybe zanz could make a level 7 ai? they can be called full gods or something like that. dark matter would be perfect for that spot. the rewards could be 50 electrum and 4 spins, but the full gods will be nearly impossible to beat without specific counter decks.

It it just me or do other people think that there are WAY too many people complaining about FG's, which, by the way, are supposed to be very difficult, beating their rainbow decks? :-X
Btw, I use a Rainbow to kill FG's, too.

I did beat it sometimes when it didn't play one blackhole each turn at the first 7 turns. If it did, rage quit.

RoL/Hope pretty much slaps Dark Matter in the face.

Use RoL-Fractal-Hope. You'll lose 6 quanta whenever he uses Black Hole, but that's easily made up for by towers and RoL's ability.

It's probably the best anti-Rainbow FG out there, so I understand your conundrum. Me, I use Hope and kick its ass. The worst one is still Hermes, as compared to Dark Matter he doesn't just beat one type of deck (rainbow), he beats almost every deck consistently. You either need super luck or something designed specifically against him, and even then I have yet to see a deck with a consistently good win ratio. But.. for some reason, I still like that he's there. He's as hard as the hardest stuff should be. I guess it's a form of respect. :D
Oh, and before I get another reply that Rainbow is harder.. she's not. You can easily deck her out, and her offense is weaker and easier to take the edge off in preparation for shocking past her Miracles.

yea.. gods are meant to be hard but they do seem to pretty much cheat you anyway they can.. the card advantage is enough i think.. but looking at a 100 card deck, even when drawing 2 cards a turn to be as consistent as the FG are is a little out of proportion. there is no way an 86 card deck can draw 2 cards a turn and get the same thing every single time. they do not have that many of a card.. say they do have 10 of one card.. say after turn or two.. 10/75 (1/15) or 6% chance to get that card. the gods get that card 95% of the time. maybe its just me and bad luck on my part idk. but for the gods to ALWAYS get the card they need is just wrong.
random side note.. the FG's have a gender? i was not under any impression they did. does the wiki say or is it based on each persons perception of their name?

totally agree on all accounts
Hermes is by far the hardest FG but losing against him is not as frustrating as losing to any other FGs and i guess thats the whole point to this thread
DM is very frustrating to play against, it is fortunate that there exist an anti-FG deck which can deal with him but even for mono/duo/trio/quartet decks, getting hit by black holes every turn is not fun
and thats the whole point of playing this game....right?

I'm actually not sure if they get some statistical assistance or not. Main reason being that Chaos Lord pulled a second turn Discord on me no less than 9 matches in a row. The chances of that are just.. mind-boggling, but still possible. So I cannot be sure.
And no, they don't. However, there have been threads about this, and what Elements that seem masculine and feminine, and there is a general consensus on most of them. It's all personal preference in the end.

i refer to all the fgs as he unless its fire queen. but thats only because fq is blaringly obvious as to what gender she is
