I love this idea. Great theme and interesting mechanics. I'll post more detailed feedback later.

Something really needs to be clarified.  The OP uses the terms "round," "match," "battle," and "duel" without properly defining all of them (or using them in a contradictory manner).  Here's what I gather:

Quote
SPECIAL: whenever one of the Twelve loses a match (not a whole battle: for instance, this applies twice if he has won 3-2 this round), he loses 2 Upgrades.
According to this, a battle is 5 PvP games, and a match is a single PvP game.

Quote
VICTORY: if a Barbarian wins a match, his opponent is killed (eliminated).
According to this, using the interpretation taken from the Twelve SPECIAL text, if a Barbarian wins a single game out of 5, the opponent dies.  Is that really what was meant?

Quote
Matches are best-of-five. The first player who wins 3 individual duels, wins the match.
According to this, a match is 5 PvP games, and a duel is a single PvP game.  This is in contradiction to the earlier quote.

You know what would make this event more epic?

Graphics.

I suggest we find a Banner or a Flag for each team. The colors should match the elements of those teams.

I also suggest we call them something else than a "Team" to increase epicness.

I rather fail at graphics myself, but I'd love somebody to do this in my place.  :P

Also, for the "Team" name. Individual names might work (Barbarians can be called a Horde, the Twelve can be called a Cabal, the Dukes can be called a Court, the Sacred Order can be called a Church, the Crime Lords can be called an Organization, the Rebellion I don't know), but if you want a collective name... well, I guess Faction might work. *goes to edit*

Are members from the crime lords supposed to be secret? If you specify wich faction you join in forums, it breaks the secret.
Also, what are those numbers?
I like the event, but sadly i might not be able to join it, depending on when it starts.

Crime Lords are secret. You ask for a faction except Crime Lords (that should be specified, you are right). Crime Lords are assigned randomly, one for each faction, at the start of the event.

Also, what numbers?

Maximum amount of players for that group.

And I'm meh for being randomized into a group I wouldn't want to be in. Can't we send a PM if we want to be a Crime Lord or not? And if there isn't one from each group then someone is randomized.
You're just as selfish as I am. You're just not as good at it yet.

Why is The Twelve called the Twelve if there are only six players there?

Why is The Twelve called the Twelve if there are only six players there?
'Cause we can't afford to run an event with more than 70 players in it. Because six of the original Twelve survived, while the others were found over the ages by the Sacred Order and purged by the Emperor himself.

Maximum amount of players for that group.

And I'm meh for being randomized into a group I wouldn't want to be in. Can't we send a PM if we want to be a Crime Lord or not? And if there isn't one from each group then someone is randomized.
I guess we could allow for PM preferences, but if that is the case, the Event Organizer will select the best available option instead of randomizing the Crime Lords.
